The Soft Side of Bonnie

17 year old Bonnie Rockwaller stared out the window of her small

room. She wished she could think of a way to apologize to everyone she had ever hurt with

her words, but it just didn't seem possible. It might have been a lot easier if Barkin hadn't

forced her into doing it. Possible, Kim Possible. That's where it had all

started. She had always strived to be perfect. And in her old school she always was. The

perfect student and the perfect friend. It may seem hard to believe but Bonnie had been the

nicest, most selfless person in her school. That had all changed. She remembered that

horrible trajedy like it was yesterday.

Flashback

"Daddy don't leave me," Bonnie cried, the tears streaming down her face.

"Don't worry Bon-Bon. I just have to fight in the war for a while.I'll be home on Christmas Eve. 3 o clock sharp you can count on it. When I come home it will be just like always. I promise." He spun her in the air, gave her a kiss and left.

Most of all Bonnie hated promises. They were just words. Plain words.

They always ended up broken lies. On Christmas Eve Bonnie had stood at the door waiting for and hour. When she finally heard the doorbell ring. Her spirits soaring she ran for the door.

A strange man was standing at the door, and she imediately sensed something was up.

"Is your mother home?"

"No"

"I'm afraid I have some grave news. Daniel Rockwaller passed away in the war two days

ago. We found something in his hands. It had you name on it Bonnie."

Bonnie grabbed the small package and dragged inside. The whole world felt like a night-

mare. One she couldn't wake up out of. After a week she finally had the courage to open

the package. It was a gold locket with her name engraved on it. It wouldn't open.

--------------------------------------------------

Now they were in Middleton and Bonnie had loathed every minute of it. Everyone was so

happy so care-free. Especially Kim Possible. So Bonnie did the only thing that seemed

possible. She tuned everyone out and became the cruelest bossiest person in the whole

school. She had been fiddleing with the locket and now she new she had to start over here.

Suddenly she new how to appologize.

------------------------------------------------------------

" Attention everyone," Mr.Barkin shouted," Your fellow student Bonnie has something to say

to you." He handed her the microphone.

"Um, hi everyone. Listen, I know since I've moved to Middleton I've haven't exactly been the

nicest person," a few people snorted at this,"but I never really meant any of it. Ever since

my dad died I've always envied anyone who could be happy. He was fighting in the war and

he..he never came back. His last gift to me was this locket. and until now I've never been

able to open it. Inside it said: Bonnie,be the best you can be. I'll always love you. It was

almost as if he knew he wasn't going to make it," She could no longer hold back her tears

and let them fall freely.

"When I read that, I realized I haven't really been being the best I could be, but the worst. I

just wanted to say I didn't mean any of it. So if I ever put you down. Called you a loser. I'm

sorry."

She ran from the stage her brown hair cling to her tear stained face. The whole room was

in tears now.

Kim managed to choke out these words that Bonnie was longing to hear," We forgive you

Bonnie."
