WINTERBEE2001
Hana gazed happily out of her apartment window at the beautiful summers day, it wasn't humid, and there was a cool breeze floating in the air... Everything was perfect. Ame sat in his crib, while Yuki danced around the kitchen. It was a perfect day for the family of four to go out on a walk, Ookami seemed to notice this and went over to Hana.
"We should go for a walk, it's a wonderful day out!" Hana smiled.
"I love... Taiyō" sun, she enjoyed the way it filled people's hearts with happiness, and made smiling easier, not that having her family around her didn't want to make her smile, but the sun was there since she was a child.
A brief knock on the door caught the young couples attention. The pair got up, ready to answer the door to the mysterious guest- only to be greeted by a small basket, which held a think woollen jumper of sorts, a rolled up piece of paper, and a small, slightly tanned child with bulging moss green eyes. Ookami picked up the parcel with ease, and took it, and the child inside. They had not yet gained the attention of Yuki, who seemed to be in her own little world. "The baby looks around a few days old..." Hana said wearily.
"I'd say that she was born today, despite her eyes being fully open so early." Hana noted that the baby was a girl, and slipped the paper away from the basket.
Dear Ookami and Hana, your secret isn't the only one that needs to be kept, my daughter's father died last month, and I can't take care of a child... Like her, name her and she's yours.
I am indebted to you.
" Taiyō." Ookami stated, this made Yuki twitch her ears.
"The sun of our life's, now that we've named her- she's ours." Hana grinned brightly, before being greeted by... A pair of fox ears and a bushy tail!?
"She's a fox-girl, I've never heard of her kind before though... But it shouldn't be too different to raising wolf-children!"
"Mommy, Why do we have to move away?" The curious Taiyō perked her ears up as she always had when she was curious. Hana brushed through her adopted daughters thick luscious light, almost blonde bronze curls. "Your smart dear, and... Well, we're not safe in the city anymore... So, we are moving to the mountains." Taiyō nodded and waited for her mother to finish ridding her hair of knots. "I will stay strong for you mommy!" A tear escaped the child's eye and Hana wiped it away. "We will be fine, after we move up there, we won't have to worry about keeping the noise down, or-" a small red fox padded into the bedroom. "Not another one!" Taiyō had developed certain properties that Hana's wolf-children hadn't, foxes became linked to Taiyō, as if she were their sunshine guiding them out of the rain, and she was highly intelligent for the age of four. Also, howling and chasing her siblings around came across as quite a bold act to the timid Fox-girl, whom adopted the quiet, agile feature that most foxes have. The small child morphed into a fox, and shooed the stray away. People or animals chasing her was one of the girls pet hates.
"Mommy! When are we gonna visit the mountains!" Hana watched as Taiyō curled up into a ball and slept soundly during her mothers conversation with her sister. "Tai-chan! Get up sleepy head! Mommy said we are going tomorrow!" Her fox ears perked up and she turned to Yuki. "Tomorrow?" She said simply, whilst in half fox form. Wow. The start of a brand new life!
