Remus always feels a little twinge in the place where his heart is supposed to be whenever he sees Sirius with another one of his girlfriends, the kind of ache that doesn't leave until he goes to sleep and when he wakes up it's back again, stronger and more insistent than ever.
But then Sirius will do something endearing and affectionate like ruffling Remus' hair or throwing an arm over his shoulder and he will forget everything, will feel as if he could take flight –
Because Sirius is the sun, promising safety and warmth, and Remus cannot help falling a bit in love.
