My name is Daichi, but everyone refers to me as Dai, unless they are really annoyed with me, which happens a lot. Today, I was trying to please as many people as possible, but everyone knows how much I overcommit, my multitude of unfinished stories being the prime example.

To be honest, that's why everyone gets annoyed with me. Either way, today was very important. I had invited all of my main characters to my headquarters to celebrate being here for a full year. Including the ones whos stories have not been updated since early summer.

I really set myself up for these things, don't I?

When the doorbell rang the first time, I sent Tsukaimon and Vee-Vee to get it, because our assistant, BlackGatomon, was on vacation. Meanwhile, my irritable other half/big sister figure was not pleased with what had been on the guest list.

"Did you have to invite Digimon?"

"For the last time, yes. Come on, it's not like we're bringing in the Sovereigns."

Suddenly, there was a flash, and Samantha Izinski, or Sammy, who has long ago taken over the portal room, appeared.

"Where's Sunny?"

"She decided to take the door."

We might not have invited the Sovereigns, but a large amount of overpowered characters appeared. For one, there was Monster, the Incarnus who was currently a Wulfspade in order to appear more kid friendly, since there were two little kids in the room.

Ki and Suzie had settled down in the corner with Kunemon and Lopmon sharing experiences, and a lot of spoilers. Joker, Kelly, and Cody were comparing Vivosaurs, while Corey, Axis, and Luna talked about their Pokémon as Violet and Ninetales watched. No one had any clue where Mark and Leo were. Meanwhile, I was Dueling Sammy.

Okay, so it was technically Verity, but it still counts. We had two Blue-Eyes and a Red-Eyes on the field, when she drew a certain card.

'Let's not.'

'Come on. How perfect of an opportunity is this?'

'Fine, but don't blame me if Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon blasts us with fireballs.'

"I sacrifice my three monsters to Summon Obelisk the Tormentor!"

Yes, we have an Egyptian God Card. We would have had three, but this is where having to share with two others comes in. One of them got Slifer, one got Ra, and we got Obelisk, not that we mind. Obelisk is awesome.

I made a mental note to stay someplace where Sammy can't get to us for a week or two. I've heard the Shadow Realm is lovely this time of year.

Fortunately, Sammy has come to the realization that, as an OC, she can't exist without a creator. We got off lightly, just getting hit by Sparks a few times. Mark and Leo showed up again about halfway through, and things had finally taken off. More or less.

"Vee-Vee! You ate the food?"

"I was hungry, and I need to eat to Digivolve."

"Okay, can anyone here cook?" I was somewhat surprised when Corey volunteered. This is what happens when you don't pay attention to your characters for the better part of six months.

She shrugged. "I had to learn somehow. I can't live off of CureBerries forever."

It was surprisingly good, too.

I had a lot of fun, and we all agreed to do it again sometime. Maybe for Christmas, that would be a blast. It would probably turn out better than anything any of us had done before, as well.

Either way, I wish it didn't have to end so soon. It was that great. Either way, I made a mental note to stop ignoring Violet, Corey, Luna, and Ninetales so much. Everyone else, well, we can figure it out. I'm sure of it.
