This story will alternate between first and third person view and will mostly be told from Lilys POV and every once and awhile I'll tell it from James's as well.

Chapter One: Mission- Shock and Awe
Ugh I hate the way I look... Well hate I suppose is a strong word. Dislike would be closer to the truth I guess. Dark red hair that wont do what I want it to do, too pale skin (I swear I look sickly), and too skinny of a body. I do, however, love my eyes. They are almond shaped and this beautiful dark emerald green color.
Who am I you may be wondering? Well my name is Lily Rose Evans (My mother and her flower obsessions, my sisters name is Petunia Gardenia... should have been Petunia Snapdragon... Merlin what a bitch... whoa getting off track here...) and I'm a witch entering my Seventh and last year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in about 2 and a half months.
Back to the subject at hand. My lack of extraordinary looks not withstanding, I have quite a few faults that before I enter my last year at Hogwarts I want to address and get over. My mission this school year is, in three words, Shock and Awe. I want to shock and leave the school in such a state of awe that they will clearly remember me for many years to come. But before that goal can be reached I need to become more confident and get rid of the insecurities I have that stem from being a muggleborn witch. And perhaps a boast in the looks department wouldn't hurt.
Thankfully this summer my parents and I are going to my Aunt Caroline's house in San Diego, California in the States for about a month and a half. I can enlist my cousin Jessie's help in the looks department, she's a bit looks obsessed (not to the point of bitchy insanity but enough that she puts a bit of effort into her appearance) and boy crazy so I know she will be happy to help. Everything else I'm just going to have to work out for myself.
But I promise you this...
Hogwarts will never know what hit them.
