A/N: Probably the shortest one shot ever, but it just popped into my head and I had to type it up. Please review? Thanks!

Hermione was flustered, to say the least. Her two best friends weren't talking to her, Buckbeak was going to be executed, and nothing else seemed to matter. Even her studies weren't going as they planned. She had to attend the torturous Divination class where Professor Trewlaney always fathomed about some crazed happening. And to think, she could be doing arithmancy homework!

She trudged out of the top tower, and tried to turn her Time Turner back. The stupid nob wouldn't budge. She tried again. And again. Maybe it was broken. Hermione angrily began to storm down the stairs, trying to find Professor McGonagall to ask what was wrong. A few people laughed at her madly running down the stairs, and one particular boy made her bag split open with a spell.

"Oh, what was the point of that?" Hermione snapped, and then she saw who it was. He's sunk that low, now? she thought. Just to randomly hex my bag for no good reason? And to think, he and Ron are only mad at me because of that stupid rat and a broomstick!

"I haven't seen you around before," he said, edging near her. He was alone. Well, that was odd. Where was Ron? Hermione particularly remembered them leaving Divination together.

"Oh, don't be stupid," Hermione snapped back in a rush, "I just can't believe you'd hex my bag to get back at me for nothing!" And Hermione was in tears now- after she had fixed her bag ("reparo") she grabbed on to the handrail of the stairs and loudly continued to stomp down.

"I just wanted your attention," the boy complained. Since when did Harry have to split open her bag to get her attention?

"Well, bug off," Hermione replied harshly, "I need to see Professor McGonagall."

Harry seemed rather annoyed that she had said that.

"Aw, you aren't going to tell her about this little incident, are you?" he pleaded. "I only wanted to talk."

Hermoine sighed.

"I might," she threatened, "or I might just tell her my original idea, and then be off." She walked, bumping into him hard in annoyance, and then headed for McGonagall's room. To be sure she hadn't just missed the sensation of a Time Turner taking her back an hour for studies, she redid it. And she was instantly back at the top of the stairs; watching Harry and Ron climb to the bottom.

Strange, Hermione thought. Especially because at the last possible second of fiddling around with her Time Turner she could have sworn she'd seen Harry's mother.

Ah well. It was probably just Ginny, after all.

And never in a million years would have Hermione guessed that she had indeed stumbled upon James Potter on the very same staircase- only decades ago.

A/N: Short.. but I always wondered if Hermione never made a mistake with the Time Turner. So please review? I know it's short and I'm sorry!
