Ok so I posted one chapter of a Percy Jackson fanfiction before, and I've changed the characters and concept, I got a lot of inspiration from AFincorporated's story "The Way Home" even though there's only five chapters to it at the moment. Enjoy chapter one of my new story! -Alexa

Noah POV

I remember I was walking to school that day, the day we got captured. I was with all the kids; Golde, Ethan, Bianca, Claire, Keanu and Elena, when suddenly I blacked out and heard faint screams as I sank into the darkness.

Then I woke up in a mysterious room, that was really cold. I looked around at my surroundings and concluded that I had no idea where I was. I got up to see if anyone else was near and saw something move out of the corner of my eye. "Hello?" I yelled out, only to hear my voice echoing. But then I heard a little girl's voice, "Who- who are you?" My eyes widened. I knew that voice, "Golde? Is that you?" I called out once more. "Noah...?"

A nine-year-old girl with big golden eyes came out of the shadows. "Golde!" I exclaimed. I grabbed her and hugged her tightly as she started to sob into my shoulder, "I'm scared, Noah"

"I know, baby, I know," I answered soothingly. She stopped after a while and I suggested we look around some more to see if we can find the others. She nodded her head and held my hand as we walked around, calling our friends' names. We saw a light coming from another room after about an hour, so we decided to go there. When we entered, we saw Keanu, Elena, Claire and Ethan gathered around a fire.

"Noah!" Claire ran to me and wrapped her arms around my waist as I hugged her back. We all rejoiced and had fun for a minute or two before I realized something, "Where's Bianca?"

Ethan shrugged and said, "She ran off to find food or something about half an hour ago"

"Oh"

"For the past five hours we've been here, I've figured out that we're underground, and our parents don't know where we are," Claire explained. She was always the smarter out of the two of us, Mom's genes for sure. It was then when Bianca emerged out of the shadows, "Hey Noah, Golde." She nodded to each of us. "Hey Bee"

She glared at me, "I brought back a few bottles of water and a bag of chips." she said. "Chips?" Elena said, "Let me see those." She read the ingredients on the bag and squinted her eyes at the package, "I'm not buying it. Why would a bag of sour cream and onion chips be lying around at a warehouse like this?" Bianca took it back from her, "I don't care, but I've been starving for about five and a half hours now and I don't care how shady they are!"

"Yeah!" Keanu exclaimed, "I'm starving" Elena gave him the look and he quieted down immediately. "I don't know guys…" Ethan was skeptical. "I say we eat it" came a quiet voice which I barely heard in the midst of all our arguing. We turned our heads and saw Golde with the bag. "I agree with Golde!" Claire said after a few minutes. I shrugged, "That's good enough for me. The two smartest kids say we should have it, let's do it!" Elena glared at me for not taking her side, "Fine." the hunger finally made her change her mind.
