"Chose Jackson," the Chimera said with a hissing voice, "I've been waiting for this moment since the day you killed me."

"No, Annabeth, why!" Percy yelled at the top of his lungs.

As the Chimera drained the life out of Annabeth's body, Percy lounged forward with his sword, knocking Annabeth out of the monsters strong grip, and sliced open the monster. Once it had dyed, Percy ran to Annabeth.
