Buffy lay in bed, staring at her celling. Again. For the fourth time that week. She just couldn't sleep every time that she closed her eyes, she saw that beautiful place she was in. Well, not saw, but she could feel it. The peace of it. And now it was gone. She was broken. Fully. Especially since everything with Spike. She had caved and now she was lost. Searching for the Buffy she was before and coming up empty handed. She sat up and clicked on the radio. She turned it up slightly once she began to hear the lyrics.

*Once upon a year gone by she saw herself give in.
Everytime she closed her eyes, she saw what could have been.
Well nothing hurts and nothing bleeds when covers tucked in tight.
Finally when the bottom drops out, she forgets to fight. To fight.*

::Damn straight:: Buffy thought, sighing. She missed him. Again. And she missed heaven. Again. She hated it here. And she hated that. She wanted to know her friends like she did before. They were so differant now. Willow. Buffy grimanced. She was changing, fast. And not in a good way. She was getting really powerfull and that worried Buffy. She was afraid her friend couldn't handle this gift. And she wanted her own gift to be returned to her. Or at least to be accepted. Death was her gift. And they couldn't let it be. They thought she was in hell. Buffy tried to stop the tears.

*And it's one more day in paradise.
One more day in paradise.

As darkness quickly steals the light that shined within her eyes,
She slowly swallows all her fear and soothes her mind with lies.
Well all she wants and all she needs are reasons to survive.
A day in which the sun will take her artificial light, Her light

And its one more day in paradise
One more day in paradise
One more day in paradise
One last chance to feel alright, alright*

Buffy felt conected to this song. It just spoke everything she felt. Everything she couldn't tell her friends she felt. It hurt so bad.

*Don't pretend to hold it in, just let it out.
Don't pretend to hold it in, just push it out.
Don't you try to hold it in, just let it out
Don't you try to hold it in, hold it in

One more day in paradise
One more day in paradise
And one more day in paradise
One last chance to feel all right
Once upon a year gone by she saw herself give in.
Every time she closed her eyes, she saw what could have... been.*

As the song softly ended, Buffy did let it out. She weeped. She felt her pain flowing in her tears. But the pain was still inside. There was more left when Buffy didn't have any more tears to give. She didn't feel alright.

And she wondered if she ever would.

She could. And she knew how.

Drying her eyes she climbed out her window. And went to him. To let it out.
