"You know Doris, I've been hearing a new nickname for the kids these days. People have been calling them 'Voldless', because Voldemort was before their time." said Helena.

"I'm not saying I want Voldemort back, but kids these days are so weak, and they don't know true fear!" Doris said with a groan.

"Maybe Hogwarts should begin testing students by making them fight a troll!" Helga laughed. "You know what McGonagall once told me? That Potter boy and his little friends took down a fully-grown troll when they were first years!" Helga said. She always loved to gossip. Doris and Helena broke out in laughter.

"They were such good kids. They had guts. They knew how to defend themselves and stand up for what's right! Today's kids are so weak and spineless!" Doris chimed in.

"Oh don't get me started. You should have heard what happened with my grandson last year. He was in the backyard practicing flying on his new broomstick, and saw a centaur emerge from the woods. He got so scared that he turned and flew so fast back to the house that he couldn't stop in time and crashed in through the back window. And he wouldn't go back outside for a month!" Helena said, igniting a chorus of laughter from the group.

"Well at least your grandson knows how to ride a broom. Mine stopped riding his the day he could apparate! Last time I made him try, he fell right off the back onto his arse!" Doris shouted and slammed her butterbeer on the table. At this point, the witches were laughing so loud that nearly everyone in the Leaky Cauldron were looking back at them and whispering.

"Hey boy, can I get another fireball whiskey over here?" Helga shouted at the young waiter.

"Coming right up, Ma'am" he said while avoiding making eye contact, not wanting to be the punch line of any of her jokes.

"Don't give her or any of the others anymore drinks", the manager said to the boy. "I'll go talk to them." he said. The waiter sighed, thankful his boss could tell when people were uncomfortable.

"Excuse me, ladies. I apologize, but I must ask you to please leave the premises. I get that there is some good gossip going on here, but I am getting complaints from other customers about the noise."

"Like I said, everyone now is so weak and sensitive!" Doris said really loud, to make sure everyone in the tavern could hear her.

"They just want us out because they are all offended by our conversation. What a bunch of squibs!" Helga shouted.

"Ladies, I'm not going to ask you again. I need you all to leave." the manager said, with a much sterner look.

"Thank merlin we'll be dead and gone before today's kids grow up. Nobody can take a damn joke anymore." Helena said as they all finished up the last of their drinks and headed towards the door.
