Kendall had his arms out towards Lucy. Lucy had just broken up with her long term boyfriend, and Kendall had just broken up officially with Jo. He waited for her to give him a hug.
She walked towards him, their arms wrapping around each other. She liked the friendly gesture, but she had hoped for more.
She had to bite her tongue to keep from laughing hysterically at how funny the situation was.
She could feel the adrenaline coursing through her veins as she held him in her hands.
She had never seen the real Kendall when he was dating Jo, and she liked this Kendall WAY better
She had to pinch herself to see if this was reality or if she were just dreaming.
She could feel the heat on her skin, and she liked it.
She had never brought up her feelings for him before, not even accidentally. But she wanted to
He let go of her, making her feel sad. He noticed the sadness in her tone, and asked her what was wrong.
She could hear the words that had played over and over in her dreams once more as she began to fantasize about Kendall telling her that he loved her.
She remembered every single place they had been together, but the one that stood out was in the middle of their last concert, when she winked at him. She had finally told him that she liked him, and he didn't even notice.
She remembers his concert for her, when he had gone to all that trouble just to prove to her that his band actually did rock. She thought it was sweet.
She can hear the song play in her head as she feels the butterflies flutter around in her stomach.
She realized just how lucky the other guys were to have a friend like him.
She once again pinched herself. She could feel the stab of pain rush through her. She wasn't dreaming. He had actually told her that he loved her.
Her heart began to pound like a drum in her chest, as she felt Kendall near towards her, his lips extended outwards.
She begins to tear up and stops him. "What about Jo?" She asked, knowing that he still loved Jo and wanted more than anything to be with her.
The lights began to get brighter as she heard his voice say, "Forget about Jo. I have." She had expected a different answer, but she liked this answer a LOT better.
She closed the gap between the two and saw the sparkle in his eyes as she neared.
She felt better than she ever had in her entire life. She loved it so much that she couldn't stand the small amount of time of lingering after the kiss.
She still knew that he wasn't over Jo, and she could feel it in her bones. She knew he would regret this decision later on.
He put out a hand for Lucy to hold. She bit her bottom lip, concerned as to if she should do this or not. If she did, she'd feel no pain... would she?
She smiled and said, "I owe you one." He looked her in the eyes and said, "For what?" She smiled and said, "I owe you for being so perfect."
He realized the commitment he was getting into, with Lucy Stone, of all people. He nodded and said, "Even if Jo comes back, I'll never leave you."
Lucy realized what this meant. He was truly over Jo. She smiled and said, "I believe you."
They held each other again, smiling at one another, knowing that they had both made the right choice.
They got so close that they were inches apart. Lucy could feel Kendall's breath on her face.
But she still hadn't told him that she loved him. She knew what she must do.
"I love you, Kendall Knight." He smiled and said, "I love you too, Lucy Stone" before pulling his new girlfriend in for another kiss.
