When three little words escape his lips upon her return, she laughs and teases him but secretly, she loves him too.

He knows they both had too much to drink and when they go back to their sleeping quarters, he wraps his arm around her waist and spins her around, kissing her before whispers that he loves her; she gets angry and slaps him.

When he admits to her that he loves her, she sighs and tells him that it's too late; her heart belongs to another man.

He can't help but go to her on her wedding day – he tells her he loves her and wants her to be happy but knows it will never be enough and when she tells him she is happy – his heart breaks, knowing it's true.

So much time has passed by when he sees her again; he leaves his wife's side, making his way through the crowd and when she sees him again; she leaves her husband's side, pushing her way through the mess of people. As they reach each other, they smile and embrace – he whispers softly into her ear that he loves her.
