My miracle, my angel

From my hospital room window, from where I'm staying for almost all my life, I saw her standing on the edge of the top floor of that skyscraper. She's like the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on. I opened my window to see her clearly and from the distance, I watched her every move.

The cool breeze gently strokes her soft, silky white porcelain skin, as her long, golden brown hair glides upon her shoulder. Even though her face shows no emotion, her crimson eyes tell that there are a lot of things running in her mind. Slowly, she closes her eyes. The sunrays reflect on her pale face and it makes her cheeks go red, it glows like an angel as the light from the rising sun shines through. Her rosy, pouty lips finally give a small smile. Her white dress moves along the wind showing her flawless legs, I noticed that she's not wearing anything on her feet. She looks angelic at that moment.

Then I begin to feel uneasy like there is something wrong. I saw her taking a small step closer to the very edge of the pavement. And in a second, I saw her leaping from the building. Her slender body is like a piece of paper falling down from a high table.

Her eyes remained close, and it seems like she doesn't mind the danger waiting for her. Terror lingers my being. It feels like I'm watching a slow motion scene from a movie. I know I've been shouting from where I'm standing, yet I don't hear any sound coming from my mouth. It seems like the world suddenly slows down and every sounds becomes mute.

Nurses came rushing to my room, trying to calm me down and taking me by the arms. But my eyes kept looking at the falling woman. I don't know why I cared too much for her but something inside me tells that I should worry.

"She's falling! She's falling!" I cried.

Then slowly, her eyes open up as the contour feathers, which is the most abundant type of feathers, fills in and her soft and white wings were revealed at my sight. I was stunned! Am I in a dream? Am I dead? Am I really seeing an angel?

She doesn't opens her mouth but I know I heard her smooth, angelic voice saying...,

Don't worry, Natsuki... I won't die... I will never die... You will be forever guarded... Because... I am your angel...

The last thing I remembered before darkness slowly covers my consciousness is her lovely face looking at me as she gave a small but bright smile. And her words keep on repeating in my mind until it gradually fades away...

I am your angel...

I am your angel...

I am your angel...

And from that moment, I know that I've already seen my miracle... my angel...
