The Beginning
1985 two boys became the best of friends. They lived next to each other until one of them moved away in 1995. John and his parents moved from Denver CO to Miami FL. Joe and his family stayed in denver. John and Joe were best friends. They did everything together. They made a pact that nothing not even a girl would ever come between them. They were both 16 when John moved away. They kept in touch and saw each other occasionally. They graduated a week apart so they were able to go to each others graduations. They went to different colleges. John went into athletics while joe went into computers. Joe got really into online games. He had a job as a computer programmer but spent his nights playing online games. John was big with sports. John went through girls like they were going out of style. While joe only dated a girl when he saw the potential of a future with her. John was 6'5 with blonde hair, blue eyes and a chiseled body. Joe was 6'3 with brown hair, green eyes and a muscular body just not as chiseled as John. John was a professional athlete so he was always on the move. For years and years John and joe spoke on the phone every week. They saw each other once a month. Their friendship was not something that anyone could break. In 2014 joe was playing one of his games and he met a girl. She lived in Wyoming just a state above his. Her name was April and she fascinated him. She was upbeat and optimistic and loved her friends and family with her whole heart. Joe was falling head over heels for this girl. They started dating on the game and she wanted to go farther into a relationship and gave him her number. He wrote it down and put it in his desk drawer. His parents had passed on and he had no siblings so Joe was alone except for John. Joe didn't want to get into a relationship until he knew she was the one for him. The more Joe spent talking to April the more he fell in love with her. every time he thought of her he smiled. He didn't tell John about her though. He knew if John found out that he would push Joe into meeting her and he wasn't ready for that. One night after Joe talked to April he fell asleep and never woke up. Joe had a massive stroke at 35 and died in his sleep. John tried and tried to get a hold of Joe for 2 days when he pulled into Denver. He went up to Joe's apartment and knocked. There was no answer so he took his key and went in. he looked for Joe in the living room, in the bathroom, and in the kitchen before he opened the door to Joe's bedroom and saw Joe laying in bed. John called 911 not knowing how long it had been since Joe had the stroke. The EMT'S got there and pronounced Joe dead. John was devastated he didn't know what to do. He knew that there wasn't anyone else to pack up Joe's apartment. He also knew he couldn't do it then. John couldn't go through Joe's things it was too soon. So John spoke to Joe's landlord and made arrangements to come back in 2 months after he has had time to comprehend what happened. So as hard as it was for John he went back to work thinking every day about his friend, his family, no his brother.
