Hey, guys, this is the GundamWingFanatic90 again, this time with a Legend of Dragoon songfic. It is based off of Shade Strife's LoD fic, 'Black Legacies'. This is shameless advertising, here. That is an absolutely wonderful story, and I recommend it to anyone who is even daring to read this fic. In fact, you probably should read it before you read this so that you have an idea of who the characters are in it. Prologue

So many years have passed since I saw the last of my old friends, my companions, my comrades, my brothers-in-arms. Shana, Lavitz, Rose, Haschel, Albert, Meru, Kongol, Miranda... all have passed on, some before their time, others at a ripe old age. The last of them, Meru, died almost 500 years ago. Yet, I linger on, when I should have succumbed to the fate of a human in ages past. I remain, unto a time where Dragoons are being called forth yet again, when all of my old companions are being replaced with the new, when I have to lie just to live. It is hell on the mortal plane. And I long for the time when I am free from this duty that I have taken on.
