A/N: Okay, so this is a kinda-sorta-sequel to Departures. This was inspired by the lovely marjolein222, who gave me both the idea of writing a sequel and a topic to write on. So she's my favorite person right now. And because she is such a wonderful person, this poem is dedicated to her.
Summery: The world lost its light. Even when the Shadow was gone, they still had to leave. A sequel, but it can easily stand alone.
Warnings: Guess it. Same as last time.
Disclaimer: Ditto. If I was J.R.R. Tolkien, I would probably be rich, which I definitely am not. I wish I was, though.

The Shadow is gone.
The great forests once again grew unhindered.
Waters ran clear and pure, undiluted by fear and hate.
Light returned to a world previously filled with darkness.
But not for all.
The Eldar.
People of the Stars.
People of the Light.
Friends to all but their enemies.
One with the Earth, the Moon, the Sun.
The world brightened, yes.
But then was re cloaked in darkness
Its beauty hidden.
The sea is calling.
It speaks to me,
Breathes and sings to me.
But most significantly, it is calling.
My blood roars through my veins
The calls of gulls echo in my ears.
I cannot resist.
I do not want to leave.
But I must.
And so they depart.
Sail away on gray ships
Never to return.
They do not really know what waits for them.
The divine land of Valinor,
A world of peace
Of sun, gold, and light.
A world of mystery.
Mystery and peace.
My home is free.
Free of darkness and shadows.
The Enemy is no longer here.
And yet I still feel an ache.
The ache of loss, perhaps?
I don't know.
This happened so long ago.
It is like a dream.
But I can still feel questions burning in my mind.
The most important one of all
Why does the West call to us?

And so, the second one is completed. Wow, this really is exciting. When you have not published anything, you don't know how much reviews mean to the author. When you get them, regardless of whether or not they are complimentary, it's so moving. So, I know I didn't say this before, but… review?
