Disclaimer: I don't own Temperance Brennan or Seely Booth

Temperance stepped out of her office as Seely trailed behind her. "Damned it," she mumbled. She felt his strong hand gently grabbed her arm.

"Hey, come on, Bones, let's get back into your office and we'll talk about it," He sort of begged as he pulled her back in.

"No!" She screamed.

Zack and Angela stopped suddenly and watched their shouting match.

The anthropologist stood with daggers in her eyes as Booth tried to calm her down.

"Bones, lower your voice," he said softly and a bit embarrassed.

"Hey, something wrong, you guys?" Angela jumped in.

"Apparently so," Tempe shot out. "Do you see a smile on my face?" She pointed to it.

Booth smirked. "Yeah, since when do you ever smile?"

"Look," she yelled at the FBI agent. "I'm tired! No, let me rephrase that. I'm tired of you! I'm tired of these researches and your dumb investigations! Get out!" She turned to Zack. "The next time the FBI comes in here, make sure it won't be him!"

Zack had never seen her in such an explosive demeanor that it sort of frightened him and he stood speechless.

Dr. Brennan looked at everyone, trotted back into her office and slammed her door hard enough that the sound had echoed the entire room.

"You sure know how to light up a room, Agent Booth. She's been working too hard. Besides, you tend to annoy her at times, well, most of the time and well, I don't know what you two were hollering about, but, maybe she just needs you know, time away from you." Angela tried to defend her friend.

"Yeah, whatever," he mumbled. "It's done!" He yelled.

Booth headed to the closest bar and had a few drinks to drown his sorrows, then headed home. He arrived at approximately 10:00 and immediately jumped into the shower and stood under the sprays of water as if it would have washed away every bit of tension he felt all over his body.

He definitely should have a talk with Bones about their little tiff in front of Angela and Zack, he thought to himself as he wiped himself down and put on his shorts. He admitted that Angela was right, Tempe had been working much too hard and probably needed a vacation. He thought about the need to apologize to her, but was afraid she chose tonight to have cut him out of her life. He needed to talk to her in the morning, if she ever would talk to him again. Booth had never seen her so angry before and maybe just maybe he lost her as his partner-in-crime.

He sighed loudly as he headed into the bedroom, crawled into bed and stared at the ceiling. The only light came from the outside lamp post which peered through the small spacing of his curtains.

Temperance squirmed slightly in bed as she laid on her stomach. She suddenly blinked her eyes open and felt guilty about their argument that afternoon. She needed to apologize to him.

Bones inched her way close to Booth. Her right arm laid across his bare chest. She gently caressed his face and rested her head on his shoulder.

"I'm assuming you're not angry at me anymore?" He asked as he rubbed her back in an up and down motion.

"I'm sorry," she whispered and raised her head and gave him a feather-like kiss on his cheek.

He reciprocated as he pulled her onto him, wrapped his arms around her slender body and gave her a passion-filled kiss.

"You worried me, said you were tired of me."

"I didn't mean it, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." She kissed him again even more passionately.

"I know," he mumbled. "At least Angela doesn't have any ideas of us being together. Or Zack for that matter. Boy, was he petrified."

"I really don't want to talk about them tonight. Are you tired?" She asked as she sat up on him.

"A little, you had something in mind?" Booth asked as he tugged at her nighty.

"Uh-huh," she answered shyly and pulled off her top.

"What is it that you want?" He asked teasingly and flipped her over and crawled atop her.

"You," she whispered. "I want you."

The End
