But one dark foggy night sure demolished that pace!
And ensured forever (or at least until Heaven)
That one hot blue angel'd jazz up this old dwellin'!
Couldn't have been past a quarter to three
When that old bell rang in a most lively beauty.
There never was ever quite a soul like this doll--
(And I'm guessin' there'll never be one, after all.)
For bein' a dead girl, she's as alive as could be,
Not out-danced nor out-sung ('cept maybe for me!
She can play the that piano like no other cat,
And on some lucky nights she'll answer my scat!
Her laughter can challenge any music we play--
And just seein' that broad can brighten my day.
Too many times I've ignored my fate callin'
To go free my spirit-- there's a reason I'm stallin'!
See my afterlife could never again be complete
Without passionate Emily right there on my seat,
Always wainting for someone to ask for her hand--
So here's hoping that someday I can be that man!
