Prince Roald of Conte stood watching as his wife, Princess Shinkokami, gave birth to three beautiful baby girls.
"What will you name them?"
Duke Baird of Queenscove, Chief of the Royal Healers, watched Shinko. Though happy with the birth, she was showing signs of strain after having two miscarriages between her son, Prince Hiro, and the triplets.
"The oldest one will be Alexandra, the next one Amaryllis and the youngest Annabella," Prince Roald said. After naming their son in the Yamani language, something that had caused outrage among conservative nobles, they had decided to name the girls in Common.
"Good choice," Baird remarked.
Shinko and Roald gazed down at their triplets, knowing that, though they wouldn't have much time with their parents, they would be as happy as any princess should be.
