She walks to school with the lunch she packed

Nobody knows what she's holdin' back

Wearin' the same dress she wore yesterday

She hides the bruises with a linen and lace, oh

Here comes that weak repairer of mine again. I smirk as she sits and winces when she looks at me. She's so broken and small. It almost brings me to pity her. She was always like this, so submissive even when I first met her. I wonder why?

The teacher wonders, but she doesn't ask

It's hard to see the pain behind the mask

Bearin' the burden of a secret storm

Sometimes she wishes she was never born

I push her against another of those walls. Who knows which one? They're all the same. This time she looks different, no longer just submissive and weak. She almost looks depressed. Allecto isn't ever depressed. It's probably my fault; maybe I should apologize.

Through the wind and the rain

She stands hard as a stone

In a world that she can't rise above

But her dreams give her wings

And she flies to a place where she's loved

Concrete angel

After deciding not to hurt her this time, I walk away. Not that I actually left, I want to see what she does. She's talking to herself. The words that slip from her tiny mouth surprise me. "I came here to get away from their abuse, but I found him instead. I'm just not good enough, maybe it'd be better if I were dead." She said before she ran off towards her room. She sounded serious.

Somebody cries in the middle of the night

The neighbors hear, but they turn out the light

A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate

When mornin' comes, it'll be too late

I follow her silently, she doesn't know that I'm here. She just ran into her room and locked the door. I put my ear to the thin metal. Inside there is a clanking sound. She says something else, about thanking the gods for painkillers. My eyes widen in fear. She's going to commit suicide.

Through the wind and the rain

She stands hard as a stone

In a world that she can't rise above

But her dreams give her wings

And she flies to a place where she's loved

Concrete angel

"Good bye, Hiead. I'm sorry I wasn't good enough for you." was the last thing I heard her say before I heard her screech. There was the sound of a blade dropping. I did this to her. I killed my repairer. I didn't mean to. I feel a hot tear run down my cheek as I pick the lock. She is lying on the floor, lifeless. I was too late.

The statue stands in a shaded place

An angel girl with an upturned face

A name is written on a polished rock

A broken heart that the world forgot

I'm on Zion now, at her funeral. Instructor Azuma made me come. I look at her father; he looks abusive. No woman in sight could be her mother. It doesn't appear that she has any siblings. As I look at all these faces, I find that I'm the only one crying.

Through the wind and the rain

She stands hard as a stone

In a world that she can't rise above

But her dreams give her wings

And she flies to a place where she's loved
