She walked though the street, deep in the shadows. Her eyes glowing a deep purple. The wind wiping her face. Tears sliding down her face. She has no where to run or go. No family. No friends. No one.

"Hey little girl, what are you doing around here?" said a harsh voice behind her.

She turns around slowly, still looking down.

"Such a cute little girl to wandering around here," said the harsh voice, sickly.

The man stepped into a beam of light. His greasy black hair fell in his face, covering his eyes. He walked closer to the girl, lust in his eyes.

"I would mind your distance, sir," said the girl with a smirk.

"Oh really, now?" he said with a sick smile. He grabbed her arm and pulled her close to his body.

"Let go, or else," said the girl angrily. She thrashed her arm trying to break free.

"Or else what? May I ask," he said, leaning down to kiss her.

The girl's eyes glowed bright red. She pushed the man and leaped on top of him, shoving him to the ground. She smiled and pressed her lips against his. She lifted up from the kiss, a silver mist connecting his mouth to hers. She opened her mouth and began sucking the mist into her mouth. The man's color faded from his face, the light in his eyes began to dim. A metal pole hit the side of the girl's head. Her body slammed against a brick wall. Her head throbbed in pain. She opened her eyes slightly and saw a boy with a black strip mask. He pointed the pole at her neck.

"Don't you dare move!" he shouted.

The girl caught sight of another girl in a purple hood. The girl eyes widened then she felt a pain across her wrist. Cut slashed across her wrist, blood pouring from them. The girl screamed in pain, as cut slashed across her face.

"What the hell?" said the boy.

A silver mist flew out of the girl's mouth and entered the sick man's body, who was lying dead on the ground. The man eyes flew open and looked around in confusion and ran away scared for his life.

"Get that girl away from me!" said the girl, pointing at the girl in the purple hood, blood dripping from her wrist.

"Raven, I think she's talking about you," said another girl with pink hair, looking at the girl in the purple hood.

Then, a little green boy and a cyborg came out of the shadows.

"Is that her?" asked the cyborg.

Raven gently pushed the boy in the black mask aside and walked toward the girl.

"Robin, can you…you know," she said, pointing at the girl, who was whimpering in pain. The boy in the black mask, now Robin, smacked his pole against the girl's head, knocking her out.

"Why did he have to do that?" asked the cyborg, the green kid, and the girl with pink hair, all at once in surprise.

"Because Cyborg, Starfire, and Beastboy," Raven rolling her eyes," She's dangerous and we have to take her home with us…and by the way, her name is Deirdre."

"You know her!" said Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, and Beastboy.
