"What he caught it?" Aizen was shocked that Ichigo had caught his Zanpakutō blade right before his very eyes. Ichigo had copied a move that he himself had done to him at that first battle at Sōkyoku Hill, it seemed like such a long time ago. The boy had grown a lot in power since that first time they had met. It had all been his doing, everything had gone according to plan.
"You look surprise. Does that scare you? That something you can't comprehend happened right before your eyes and you couldn't stop it. "
"Hado #90" Aizen screamed out. He was not going to lose. He couldn't lose, he had come so far. Just because this boy had become more powerful than he had originally thought, no he was still just a boy. He on the other hand was a god. Ichigo Kurosaki stood no chance. Wait what?! The boy had broken through his Hado without breaking a sweat. That was one of the higher level kidos, and he had performed it. He had left no gaps, it was perfect. Yet the boy had broken out.
"You still haven't realized it. The power I have is greater than the power you possess even right now. "
How could that be? It was because of him that the boy in front of him had any power to begin with, how had it ended up like this? How had his plan failed? No he wouldn't give up, he couldn't give up.
Ichigo had trained, everything was for this moment. He had to defeat Aizen, if he did that it would all be over. This war would end, his friends and family would be safe. It would all have been worth it. He had gotten a cut on Aizen. , maybe he wouldn't have to use the final Getsuga Tenshō, no he couldn't be that lucky. He knew the risks going in, he had fought Zangetsu and won, he would lose his spirit energy when this was finally over. There was no avoiding it, it was going to happen. He didn't look forward to it. Perhaps if it had been a different time, perhaps he would have loved to live a normal life.
No there was no way he could be normal. He couldn't live a normal life, normal just wasn't him. He would not wish to take back everything he had seen and was now fighting for. He may have seen the Soul Society as an enemy before, but that was before he knew the truth, but now he was fighting alongside them. Perhaps he wouldn't have to use the final technique. No his luck had run out when Aizen irrupted into a pillar of light. When the light cleared, the monster that showed on the outside reflected the inside. Aizen was terrible, but even this monster that he had become thanks to the Hōgyoku was a little too terrible even for Aizen. Wait what? Why was he suddenly feeling something for Aizen? Aizen was a terrible monster, who had threatened his friends and his family along with Karakura Town. He was getting everything he deserved, he was doing the right thing.
Ichigo couldn't allow himself to get sidetracked. Though he didn't know if he preferred to fight Aizen like this or when he looked like a butterfly. No, he couldn't think of that. He allowed himself to enter the final technique that would make him lose his spirit energy. He explained to Aizen about the final Getsuga Tenshō, about how he himself had become Getsuga.
… … …. …
Blinding light.
Wait what happened? Was it a dream? Or was his spirit energy actually gone. Was this what it meant to have lost his spirit energy? His mind felt foggy, his body felt stiff, and then there was the blinding light. What the hell was that anyways? He opened his eyes, his eyes going into focus after a few blinks. Where was he? The place didn't look familiar at all. It wasn't his room, it didn't look like anything he had seen when he had been in the Soul Society either. Nothing made sense.
"Oh good our patient is finally awake." The voice he knew that voice, but it sounded so normal and so calm. Aizen.
His head snapped to the side so he could get a clear view of the traitor to the Soul Society. The man who had threaten his friend and his family, that man was standing beside him now. Well he was standing over him. He tried to move his hand, but found that it was bound to a chair. He began to panic, what the hell had happened? How had Aizen captured him? Then he thought about the comment that Aizen had made, patient? What kind of sick experiment was this? Was Aizen going to try to use the Hōgyoku to turn him into an Espada somehow?
His mind was reeling, and he was trying so hard to get lose from the chair. He strained his neck to try to take in the whole room now. The room looked fairly normal, it had off white walls, a chair, and a few tables laid out with tools. It didn't look like Hueco Mundo either. Where the hell was he? He opened his mouth to speak but instead of asking the question he wanted to his mouth betrayed him.
"You were a butterfly. "
"The patient is delusional. " Aizen stated calmly looking at someone who Ichigo couldn't see.
"What shall we do, Dr. Aizen?"
Ichigo then spotted the figure who was talking. Gin Ichimaru. Wait, wasn't he dead? Hadn't Aizen killed him? There was that word again too, patient.
"I'm not delusional! Why the hell am I strapped down?! Where did you take me anyways, you sick bastard!" Ichigo couldn't stop his voice from raising.
"I fear that you are" Aizen stated again, just as calm as ever. "Call me what you wish, but I am the one that is going to help you."
That did it. Ichigo couldn't stop the manically laughter that bubbled up, it reminded him of his inner hollow and it made him sick. "You're going to fix me? Yeah right. So what is it, are you going to make me one of your Espadas, one of your ponds? Well guess what Aizen, it isn't going to happen! I will get free and I will kill you." The laughter had at least died down.
Aizen looked at Gin "we need to medicate him as soon as possible. Perhaps put him in solitary."
Ichigo noticed that Gin was looking at Aizen, that sick grin of his never leaving his face. "Perhaps we put him with the others, but only after we get this story outta him. I'm interested ta know why he is so against ya, after all he only just got here."
Aizen sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "Ichigo Kurosaki, why don't we hear this story of yours. Though for safety reasons, you do realize I am not going to unstrap you. "
Ichigo rolled his eyes at what Aizen was saying. Aizen was looking at him like he was crazy. His story? Did Aizen not remember? Was he the only one who remembered it? "Fine, but first tell me where you took me."
Aizen didn't skip a beat in telling him exactly where he was. "You're at Karakura Asylum" he said, then he added "but I did not bring you here." He paused then continued "your friends and family were afraid that you may hurt someone so they brought you to me."
His friends and family had thrown him in an Asylum? An Asylum run by Aizen? It didn't add up or make sense, he might as well play along and see just how much the bastard would tell him. Though one thing was he was a terrible actor, he wasn't like Aizen. He couldn't trick people into giving him what he wanted. He might as well tell the story, and then try to get facts on why his family and friends would betray him. After all he did to protect them, it made no sense.
"Bull shit! My friends and family would never just throw me away, especially not give me away to you!" His voice was once again raising. Gin inched closer to the door, but Aizen kept his ground.
Aizen looked over him calmly. "Then why don't you tell us this story of yours. The one where how did you put it, I was a butterfly." His lip turned into a frown. Ichigo noticed something was missing from the other man's face, it was the smirk that had been there ever since they had met. Where was that smirk? This was just plain creepy and none of it made sense.
He sighed, he may as well tell his story. He retold of the war, of the Soul Society, of how Aizen had betrayed it. Aizen's brown eyes were scanning over Ichigo's face as Ichigo told every detail of the story. He had to constantly remind himself to remain calm, he couldn't keep losing it in front of Aizen. It may make the bastard thrilled to see him act that way. Yet the smirk never appeared on Aizen's face. He looked …worried.
His brown eyes were full of compassion though as he bend down to Ichigo's level. Although they were also filled with something that was equal to sadness. Aizen allowed a sigh to leave his lips. "I believe that you are more lost than anyone had ever thought. Ichigo, I want you to listen to me. That world, this Soul Society, it doesn't exist. The world that you are living in does not exist. I am not some war lord or criminal. I have dedicated my life to helping people like you, not killing people. I am a doctor. We both are." He gestured to Gin who was leaning against the wall listening carefully to the interesting tale that Ichigo had told.
Aizen was looking into his eyes, he was so close. Ichigo tried to back away a little, but he couldn't, he was still attached to the chair. "Are we all calmed down now?" Aizen didn't wait for an answer, he was undoing the cords that held his wrists down to the chair arms. His fingers grazed over his skin and it was sending goose bumps all over his body. His teeth sank into his bottom lip, he couldn't help it, he found himself being drawn into the pools of dark chocolate that were Sōsuke Aizen's eyes.
He couldn't even look away, but finally he felt himself nod. Aizen looked at Gin "why don't you go fetch Nurse Rangiku. I will have finish my meeting with Ichigo by the time you fetch her."
Gin nodded "of course, Dr. Aizen." He then left through the door, closing it once again. That left Ichigo alone with Aizen. His mind was racing, he kept looking between Aizen and the door. He couldn't keep his eyes off of Aizen, but it wasn't because he was dangerous. It was something else. Aizen looked normal again. His brown hair that was sweep back except for one single strand that hung between his eyes. Though something was different about him. It is because he isn't the same bastard that you fought. He is someone completely different. He sighed at the thought. Aizen fingers crossed over his skin again as he took a measurement of something. He had been talking, but Ichigo hadn't been listening.
He inched away from the older male. Though he made no attempt to lung at him and attack him. He just didn't want the man touching him, it made him feel weird. Aizen frowned. "Ichigo, I need to finish the tests. I can't do that if you keep inching away from me."
Ichigo looked at him, a scowl now on his face. "Though I don't want you touching me. I can do the tests myself, if you insist on doing them. My dad is a doctor, after all." Aizen sighed laying the device down so Ichigo could pick it up.
"Normally we don't let patient attend to themselves, but I guess since you are uncomfortable with me touching you" he said. Ichigo went to pick up the device, but Aizen was quicker and snatched it away from him again. He held his wrist in one of his firm hands, and Ichigo sucked in a breath. Then Aizen dropped his wrist, however it felt like decades had gone by before he had.
"There all done, was that so bad?" Aizen was generally trying to be nice and it sort of creped Ichigo out a little bit. "So in this world of yours, was I really that bad?" Before Ichigo could answer, Aizen asked another question. "You are a different one, Ichigo. Tell me how you know some of the other patient's and some of the staff's names. It isn't natural, even if we are in a mental asylum."
Ichigo bit his lip focusing on the first question rather than the second. "Yes, you were that bad. You threatened my friends and family, you kidnapped people, and you killed people." Then he truly thought about it, Aizen had only threaten to kill the people of Karakura Town, he had kidnapped Orihime. Yet he had not killed anyone except his own troops. What was wrong with him? He half expected the mocking voice that belonged to his inner hollow to start up, but everything was quiet.
"Well you only killed your own troops, but you wounded a lot of people. As for your second question, I don't know. I suppose you're not going to tell me any of the names, are you?"
Aizen shook his head. At that moment the door opened again and in came Gin and Rangiku. Ichigo still couldn't believe it. Aizen had gotten up from his chair, and Ichigo saw something flash in his line of vision. Then he felt a sting in his upper arm. The world became hazy again, he felt something being placed on his lip. He was forced to swallow then the world began to swim before his eyes.
"He can meet everyone tomorrow" Gin stated.
Aizen sighed "he really is an interesting one. I suppose I'll take him to his room. Nurse, doctor tell the other staff that we have a very interesting patient who has just entered Karakura Asylum."
The words made his mind swim. Then there was nothing but darkness as he blacked out and Aizen carried his unconscious body out of the room and towards the room that would be his for his stay.
