1Zero Connection

Ice Cold

Cold night air pierced the pale skin of the green haired boy. Youji had gotten separated from

his partner, Natsuo, all thanks to Nagisa-sensei.

After Zero's loss to Soubi, Nagisa had been rather enraged with the team. Now she was just going to punish Natsuo and destroy Youji, but when that time came around, Youji had ran. Unfortunately, he didn't know what happened to his fight, his love, Natsuo.

Now look where he was. Alone in the cold snow with no food, no shelter, nothing, and to top it all off he had nowhere to go. Most certainly not knowing much survival was a great weakness in him, and right now all he did know was that he was growing rather dreary, and he felt like he was losing the ability to go on. And before he knew it, he found himself laying flat down in that white blanket of snow, a new coat falling on his now shivering body.

"We should go out more often, Sou-chan," Kio, Soubi's roommate said as he clung to the taller man's arm.

"It was okay, but you shortened my time alone with Ritsuka."

"What is it with you and that family! If it's not one member it's ano- Ack!" Kio was saying before he tripped over a lump in the snow, no longer standing, but now on the ground. "What the hell was that?.."

Soubi had knelt down in the snow to examine what his roommate had tripped over, and as he moved around the snow, he discovered the unconscious Youji. "This," he stated as he brushed more snow off the boy.

Kio looked over, blinking some before letting out a loud outburst of annoyance and anger as he watched Soubi pick the freezing boy off the ground. "Hey! That's one of those brats that stayed with us before! You're not taking him home are you!"

"We can't just leave him here to freeze."

"You pervert. You just want another boy to mess around with."

"I am not a pervert."

Kio just mumbled 'you are,' before heading back to the apartment with Soubi, stopping a pointless argument from starting up.

When they got to the apartment, Soubi took Youji to his room, stripping off the boy's damp, ice cold cloths and put some fresh ones on him, not caring that they were a few sizes to big. Then he set the boy down on the bed, oh so carefully, and covered him up with the nice warm blankets.

He moved some hair out of the sleeping boy's face, admiring the peaceful state he was in as a thought came to the blonde's mind.

"Where's your fighter, hm?.." He said aloud as he ran his hand down the boy's cheek before removing the hand completely.

After that, Soubi left the room and made his way to the dinning room. He'd be sleeping on the couch tonight. Though he didn't mind it too much.

.o.O.o.

The next morning, Youji opened his eyes, only to find himself in new clothes, a bed, and defiantly not the same place where he was last night. He got out of the bed and went to the French doors that were across from the bed, that led to the balcony. He opened the doors, and stepped outside, his feet hitting the ice cold concrete just below them. He went to the ledge and leaned against the railing, staring harshly at the view before letting out a rather rash sneeze.

"You really shouldn't be out here," came Soubi's voice from behind him and he turned, eyeing him.

"Was it you who brought me here?"

"Who else would it have been? You were going to freeze and possibly die if I didn't."

"I never asked for your help. I would've been fine."

"I chose to help. Besides, it's not like your fight was there for you."

This caused Youji to go silent. He missed Natsuo so much. He wondered what has become of his dear dear friend. What was Nagisa-sensei doing to him? If she were to harm a single hair on his head though, he knew that she wouldn't be able to live it down.
