Author SW: This is another Yami/Yugi poem. Yay! (I'm obsessed- they're so cute together!) It's a poem from Yugi's diary about his love life with Yami. The reason it's called Staying Strong is because the poem's perspective is based on what society thinks of Yugi's relationship with Yami and how he has to stay strong through the harsh words that other people say. I hope you like it just as much as I do! ^^

Staying Strong
As I walk down the street, I hold your hand,
Hoping things will go as planned.
Without a comment or glare or two
About the fact that I love you.
But things don't seem to go that way;
Not according to today.
People would laugh and spit in my face
As they'd walk off and tell me I was a disgrace.
And in your arms, I'd start to cry,
While you'd hold me and say that our love can't die.
Then you'd kiss me oh-so-tenderly,
And tell me that we're meant to be.
Don't hate me just because I'm gay,
I just live life a different way.
And about those comments...I think I'll pass,
'Cause Yami and I will kick your ass.
Now I walk down the street and all around town
Knowing nothing they say can bring us down.
So kiss me, hug me, do what you do,
We're a shounen-ai couple- true and blue!
