Kuphulu gasped during a stroll in one of Anur Transyl's towns. He recognized Crujo while the latter ran from enraged Thep Khufans.
Crujo paused in front of Kuphulu. ''You're my associate. Protect me.''
Kuphulu's eyes narrowed. ''You always see me after you get in trouble.''
Crujo glanced over his shoulder and gasped. The Thep Khufans were getting closer.
''I guess I can protect you.''
Crujo smiled.
''What did you do this time, Crujo?''
''I bit a delivery Thep Khufan. She terrified me.''
The Thep Khufan's eyes narrowed in anger. He stepped to one side until other Thep Khufans surrounded Crujo.
