This is a beginning i've written a long time ago. If you think it's interesting enough, i will continue working on this.

After turning off the shower, she observed herself in the small mirror on the wall. Her sight was blurry but with the help of the towel, she managed to get a clear view. The space between her eyebrow and her eye was a little blue, Sookie had no idea how that happened. After drying herself and getting into her work outfit, she applied some light make-up to cover up that ugly spot. Today went by pretty slow and she had a feeling that tonight probably wouldn't be any difference. With a quick glance on the clock in the living room, she went into the kitchen to eat the last parts of the sandwich she had made earlier this afternoon. Just an hour left before she had to hop in the car and drive off. Time, she hated it when there was nothing more to do that listening to nervous sound of ticking seconds.

It took her three times before the Yellow Honda gave in and decided to play nice. This just added to her annoyance a bit more. When she reached the parking spot for the staff, she parked her car but refused to get out right away. There was something different yet she couldn't put her finger on it. She grabbed her handbag, stepped out and entered the back door of Merlotte's.

"Hey, Sam!" She shouted when she noticed the door of his office was half opened and he probably was working on the inventory."Hey, Sook? Got a minute?" He spoke in a rushed tone, stood up and walked towards the door post; Sookie turned around."I'm sorry I wanted to call you earlier but I got distracted..." Sookie frowned lightly when he started speaking."Well, Arlene asked me if she could work later and I already have a lot of people so..." The guilty expression her boss gave explained it all. She smiled and shrugged nonchalant."It's alright, Sam. What time will she come?" "In three hours. " She nodded and placed her bag in office."Three hours will do. It's busy tonight?" Sam sat back down."I wish it was." He continued working and she went to serve some people.

Lafayette was busy doing his magic tricks in front of Jesus with the spatula while on the other side of the bar, Jessica and Tara were gossiping about Arlene's kid, Mikey. Sookie returned with some empty plates and bought them back to the kitchen. Sam was right, this place was as dead as dead could be. The only tables that were filled, weren't even hers. With a sigh, she started to fold some napkins but the fellow stranger than entered interrupted her creativity. She was surely one that hasn't been here before, no one recognized her yet almost everyone gave her the curious eye. Carefully, Sookie kept her eyes on her and was somehow happy when she decided to sit down on her table."Guess after all, I have somethin' to do." She smiled at Jessica and walked up with a friendly grin to the stranger."Welcome to Merlotte's Bar and Grill. My name is Sookie Stackhouse, may I take your order please?" She glanced over her notepad.
