Ginger and Courtney ran together side by side in the rain.
They were been chased by a gang of older teens who Courtney had pissed off by pointing out how there all walking fashion disasters.
Gingers heart was beating hard against her chest and she felt invincible, she had always felt like this when around Courtney.

Courtney got over a fence which ginger couldn't climb, the girls were catching up on them and Courtney smelling danger grabbed the side of the weak rusty metal fence and pulled lucky it was weak and bent back cutting into her hands ginger saw and managed to squeeze through.
Both girls carried on running and didn't stop till they had got to the park about 3 blocks away.

Courtney looked at the palms of her hands and saw they had been cut and sliced by the metal fence, the drops of blood and bits of rust were dotted around the cuts.
"come on lets go to my house I've got some badinages you can put on your hands" ginger said, courtney nodded and stood up ginger put her arms round her shoulders and hugged her then they walked on under the stars.
