A Sunny Moment

A Sunny Moment

Just a bit of fluff I'd thought would make a simple, calm story.

Disclaimer: Fan of Twilight I am, but author I am not. Wow, that sounded lame. R&R, please :)

It was another one of those absolutely precious moments with Edward, in our favorite meadow. As usual, the flowers paled in comparison to Edward's outrageous perfection and I marveled at his sparkling skin, brushing it with the tips of my fingers. As usual, Edward asked, "What's on your mind now?"

"Oh, nothing," I responded, lightly tracing the lines on his palm. He looked at me questioningly and drew me into a tight embrace. I was still marveling at how easy it was for us to be together. Even after several months I had still not gotten used to my...vampire-ness. But I felt perfect in that small little meadow, with my diamond skin and his together, without any restraint needed.

"Could you let down the guard, just for a moment, Bella?" Edward asked, his voice slightly urging. His beautiful face was so close and so angelic that it was hard to resist. I sighed, kissed him briefly, and held his head in my hands.

And while I brought up the wonderful flashbacks, the great memories, I thought about how perfect the moment was. Here we were, together forever, with all our worries behind us. I relished in the moment and lost my focus when Edward kissed me. He grinned crookedly and took my breath away.

"How about we head on back to the cottage? Renesmee can't spend all day with Jacob." He wrinkled his perfect nose playfully. I laughed.

"It wouldn't be the first time," I added. We stood and embraced, then walked back hand in hand.

"And of course," I added teasingly, "We still have some unfinished business from last night."

He laughed musically and we ran through the forest, those wonderful fleeting moments in our memories forever.

Ya, I know, super short. But I'm trying to become a beta-reader to aid those who need help, so that means more stories! Review please!
