I woke with a sudden and loud knock on my front door. It was 7pm. I had fallen asleep early. Ugh! I thought and jumped out of bed and padded down the stairs rubbing my eyes. I opened the door a crack to see who it was and noticed it was Stefan. I opened the door fully and let him in, he gave me a light hug, his face was blank, he continued to walk through the house and up the stairs where I found him sitting on my bed.
"Stefan, whats wrong?" I asked as sadness filled my voice
"Elena, I can't do this any more. It's just I don't know. I don't want to be with you any more. I can't" He got up and started pacing the room his face was full of hurt and sadness. I walked over to him and tried to hug him but he pushed me away. Tears filled my eyes.
"Please don't cry. I'm sorry. I have to leave now" He left the room and I heard the door slam as he exited my house. I fell onto the bed and threw everything onto the ground and burst into tears. Damon, hes the only one who will understand me I thought. I picked up my phone that was sitting on my bedside table and scrolled through my contacts until I found Damon Salvatore. I dialled the number and listened to the ringer.
"Damon Salvatore."
"Damon, can you come over please?" I sobbed into the phone
"Elena? Yeah ill be there soon."
"Thank you." I disconnected the phone. 30 minutes later there was a knock as the door. I ran down stairs, opened the door and flew into Damon's arms. I sobbed quietly into his chest.
"Elena, what happened?" He asked when I pulled away from the hug.
"Stefan dumped me, he said that he couldn't do this any more. Then he left! I don't even know what he means by 'this!" I started to cry again when Damon pulled me into his embrace and wrapped his strong arms around me and mumbled soothing sounds. We stood like that for while. I pulled away and looked into his eyes, and he drew his mouth down to mine and kiss me gently at first then more passionately once he realised I was kissing him back. He sat me down on the crouch and I sat on his lap and wrapped my arms around his neck. I intertwined my fingers in his hair as he started to slowly move the kisses down my neck and back up to my mouth. I sighed and he started to take off my shirt, I didn't object and ripped his off his toned body. I pulled back.
"We can't do this. Not right now. I just got dumped by your brother." I said breathless
"I understand" He said putting his shirt back on as I pulled mine back over my head. I got off his lap and he stood up and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Can you stay the night? I don't want to be alone. ." I said putting my best lost puppy look on.
"Of course Elena" He said and he laced his fingers with mine and steered me up the stairs and into my room. I laid down on the bed and rested my head on Damon's chest and fell asleep as he stroke my hair.
