Legolas was going to visit Galadriel. It was not an odd thing to do now after the Fellowship was over. Galadriel was going to leave soon with Elrond and Gandalf, so Legolas took advantage of the time he had to talk to her. Of course, it did not hurt that his traveling partner, Gimli, was obsessed with the Lady.

This evening, Gimli was too tired to see Galadriel. Legolas smiled as he heard the dwarf snore in his small room. Legolas searched Lothlórien until he found the Lady. To his surprise, she was by her mirror again. Galadriel nodded and motioned for Legolas to join her. He walked her way, feeling a small gust of wind blow his brown hair back.

"I have seen some visions in my mirror that I feel you would appreciate seeing," Galadriel said. I warn you, dear Legolas, that they are quite frightening. Legolas heard the Lady's voice echo in his mind. Legolas thought for a moment, feeling quite unsure. After a few moments of debating, he decided that it would be best for him to look into the mirror. The Lady acknowledged his answer silently, and he looked in.

He was on the Quest again. He was battling at Helm's Deep, killing. The Black Gate loomed ahead as the orcs came out…and then there was light. He and Gimli were walking in Mirkwood, killing spiders. There they were, he and Gimli, watching Aragorn die and then sailing to Valinor. Then a sudden movement and a mirror-like screen was in front of him. Orlando Bloom is Legolas, the screen said, as a blonde hair man with an odd voice in an odd language seemed to pretend to be him. There were girls, staring at him and writing something called fan fiction about him. Torture! Help! Worse than the Eye – the Sue! Yet he was pulled in…pulled in…

He let out a sigh of relief as Galadriel pulled him away and spoke. "I know what you have seen. I did warn you, Legolas. This is a future that may be. Do you accept it?"

"Do I have any choice, my lady? I will see how life goes. As long as none of these Sues attack me, I will be fine." Galadriel smiled as Legolas spoke.

"You have taken your steps down the road to knowledge, young one. I see hope." Legolas watched as Galadriel smiled and walked away. He stood there for a moment. What horror was he dooming himself to? Yet Legolas knew he would live. With that hope, he walked to Gimli's room and watched, smiling as the dwarf mumbled in his sleep about silver.
