I like making cute friendship fanfics for these two. This is sad so be warned and is based off season 2 episode 5.
Summary: Dylan promised she'd protect her lord, and she was going to keep it no matter what.
"Are you crazy Dylan?! You can't fight that thing, your to weak!" Dylan kept her glare on the mutated wolf and followed it's every move carefully. "I promised to protect you, Golan. And I will no matter what." She narrowed her eyes and aimed the bow at the beast. It stopped growling and took stance, staring at her with the same careful and planned eyes. "After all, what kind of aqulite would I be if I didn't?" She shot, Golan's eyes widened, and there was a howl.
Then she was running.
"Dylan!" Golan's eyes followed her as she led the beast away. 'You stupid kid!' He ran after them. Though in his current molted shape he wasn't as big nor fast as he was just minutes back. He tried his best to catch up and listen for any noises of pain or howls. He followed the wolf tracks. "D-Dylan? This isn't funny, where are you?!" He began to panic more, tears brimming his bright eyes. "Dylan!?" He was about to call out again when he heard a cry.
Dylan ran as fast as she could. Though she had to admit that she was getting tired because of her small figure. She looked back at the wolf chasing her. The damn beast was strong! She tried her best to duck and elude the branches and obstacles in her way. But she knew she couldn't run forever. She looked down and closed her eyes, tears starting to come. She smiled and couldn't help but chuckle. 'It's been awhile since I cried..Not since the day dad left me.'
Lost in thought she tripped over a rock and went rolling into a tree.
She opened her eyes weakly. She was exhausted and her eyes-blurry from before-were even more blurry now. She slowly stood up, using the tree as support as she stumbled to her feet. Her back hit the tree when she noticed the wolf was right in front of her, staring into her eyes. It started growling. "..." She picked up her bow and last arrow. She aimed again. Though there was no way to kill it before it killed her, she would do anything for her lord. The one male role model who stayed in her life, who protected her.
"I'm just paying back the debt. Goodbye, Golan."
She took the shot, right in between the wolfs eyes and it pounced.
"Dylan?! Dyla-.." Golan's eyes widened when he saw the dead wolf. In front of a pale Dylan laying against a tree. Her outfit soaked in blood where her wound was and her face violently bare. Her bright green eyes now hanging open lowly and dull. As she she laid emotionless not counting the breeze gently flowing through her jet black hair.
Golan's eyes watered again as he stumbled over to her.
"D-Dylan?.."
