I feel impelled to write a few lines that may fall under your eye when I shall be no more. You have shown me what love is and what it feels like to be loved. And I am willing-perfectly willing-to lay down all my joys in life, to help maintain this government, and to pay that dept…you are the beat of my heart, the soul in my body; you are me and without you I am nothing. Never forget how much I love you, and when my last breath escapes me on the battle field, it will whisper your name. just because I have passed away does not mean I am not with you. If the dead can come back to this earth and flit unseen around those they loved, I shall always be near you. So whenever you fell lonely just close your eyes and I'll be right by your side. Never forget that, and never forget I will always be looking over you.
