Disclaimer: Ok I own nothing except for Mara and her thoughts and
personality.
OK, I will try to update as much as possible but please Read and Review, lol. I am welcome to any suggestions because I suspect that this is going to be a very long fanfic. Thank you! -Rhiannon's Dream
Mara took in a deep breath as she silently prayed that the Greeks wouldn't be still occupying the ruined city of Troy. It had been two weeks since the war had ended and she was going to go back to see if there was anything of her's that was left. She silently padded down the dark, dank, passageway and shivered slightly at the drop in temperature. She sighed and began to notice a small light at the other end of the tunnel. Mara blinked and gasped for a second as she saw the ruins of the city, they were worse than she had imagined. She hadn't seen the city since they left and had been living in the caves with her people for many days. She gingerly stepped around the fallen pillars and jumped over the large statues of their gods as she came to a halt. She heard something shift around in the darkness and turned around so that her back was against the stone pillars. She listened for another sound, a weapon, anything but she heard nothing. 'It was probably just an animal or something,' she thought as she soon began to walk around again. She headed up the broken stairs of the palace towards the place of where her room once stood. She found bits and pieces of what were once Helen's and searched through her old stuff for any of her prized books, but had found that most of them were destroyed. She sat down on top of a lion statue and sighed as she felt a tear trickle down her cheek. She then felt an eerie prescience around her as she raised her head up and felt a rather strong hand on her shoulder. She screamed slightly and whirled around to face her captor. She blinked as she recognized who it was.
"Archilles, my Prince's murderer. I should have known. Hadn't the Greeks left already or did they leave behind their wounded warrior." She replied with a smirk. She winced as he slapped her across the face, her cheek now shed a bit of blood as she watched his teeth grit with anger, and his eyes shown with hatred and malice.
"I am no longer wounded and I have healed fine. Just fine enough that if you keep angering me as you are now I can show you just how fit I am," he replied threateningly as he continued, "and the Greeks left me behind because they want me to watch over this city until they return to occupy it." He smirked.
She smirked and twisted under his tightening grasp of his hand on her arms. "Let me go." She replied coldly. "I want nothing to do with you I am just getting my stuff and I will be gone, happy?" She tried to get out of his grasp.
"I don't think so. You could just simply go back and tell all of the others that I am here. So you will just have to come with me and be my slave until the Greeks come. Then you may meet the fate of many of the t other Trojan girls." He laughed cruelly and began to drag her off towards a small cave nearby.
