She stood at the edge of the cliff and looked down, the wind blow from down below and she closed her eyes to feel the coolness of it. So this is how it felt to fly. She smiled for the first time in months and happiness came across her. With her eyes still closed she cried and her tears slipped out. Spreading her arms out like a bird she lifted her head up to the sky feeling the rays of the sun on her skin the heat warmed her so much it felt like her soul itself was being warmed.

Free a word she hadn't known the meaning to. The feeling of doing and going where ever your heart wanted. Free, a word that made her soul calm and content. Free.

"Why? Why is it that I only feel this now? Why is it that I couldn't feel this before? Before…"

She began to think back, back to when she smiled. And then she could see her friends, her family her life. She could Inuyasha holding her for the first time. Her mom smiling as she danced around the house when she only seven. Shippo calling her mom for the first time. Sango slapping Miroku for grapping her butt. Holding Souta when her mom came home from the hospital. Then it hit her she was happy, she did at one point feel free, her soul was once calm and content and it was all because of her friends and family.

"Mom, Grandpa, Souta, Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Inuyasha thank you."

In the back of her mind she could hear them saying you're welcome. With her eyes closed she could see them all sitting around like they always did before… Inuyasha with his legs crossed and his sword between his arm and his chest. Sango petting her cat like companion and Miroku trying to pet her. Shippo eating some kind of food that she had given him.

"Kagome. Kagome."

"Inuyasha? Is that you? Is it?"

"Yes it is. Kagome is it time?"

"Yes. Will you be there?"

"Yes. We all will, and it will be just like it should. Before…"

"Don't. I have happy memories and I want it to stay that way."

"Fine"

"Hehe, is that all you going to say? You never were good with emotions. But I could always tell what you were feeling by your eyes."

"Hn, come on now Kagome it's time we have to go."

"Ok"

She turned to look at him. He held his hand out to her smiling. She took it fast and smiled falling into his chest she closed her eyes and felt his warmth it felt like the sun.

"Inuyasha, I love you"

"I love you to Kagome." And with that it went black.

A young girl stopped to pick some flowers she had picked six and walked slowly up the path that led to a well. Coming to sight with the well she smiled but not a happy smile a sad one, one with tears hiding behind it. She stopped in front of the well and looked down. There she placed the flowers one on top of each grave the newest being of a young miko. She placed a hand on that one and felt sadder then she has ever felt.

"Rin. It is time to go."

"Yes lord Sesshomaru"

The young girl got up and ran behind her lord as happy as ever she would never let him see her sad. She didn't want him to worry. He looked back at the child who ran behind him and sighed he could smell her tears he knew she had been crying just like she did ever since she found out about the miko.

"Lord Sesshomaru, do you think she knows how the young miko died? Do you think she knows that she took her own life?"

"Jakken, I do thinks she knows but she will never talk to us about how she feels. She does not want me to see her in that weak state. So let's just keep going"

Jakken looked at the young girl and sighed. They all walked away from the well felling a little sad.

Ok so if it wasn't clear Kagome jumped off the cliff after losing all her friends. No I don't say how. I don't know lol. So you fill that in. hope you like
