Hi, this is based on a dream/strong wish I had when I was nine. Mind you, I'm not nine now! Hope you'll like it.
The young girl sighed. It would be difficult for the girl to get her wish: to go to Narnia. Her parents knew. They chose to say nothing about it, silently watching their youngest. With a jolt, the girl realized her parents were watching her.
"You know, huh..." she quietly said.
"We do. Have a safe journey, and know that we will always love you." said her mother.
"Be careful, Abby. God loves you, too. If you're in need of help..." he smiled as he quoted the phrase: "just blow on the horn for help."
Abby giggled. "Thanks, guys. I love you. Be careful when I'm gone, too. Don't forget to check your pockets if you lose something, Dad." (A/N: Inside joke)
Her father laughed lightly. "Good luck, Abby." said her mother once again, kissing her on her cheek.
Abby returned to the task of packing her backpack. She surveyed the contents of her bag for about the third time. Her Ipod, lots of clothes, a jacket, blankets, a pillow, food, and water. She frowned. Had she forgot something? Oh yes, her flashlight. Since she was planning to go to the time of Prince Caspian, she knew that the Kings and Queens "of old" wouldn't think it strange. She planned to get there sometime today. It was 4:00 AM. Once she was sure everything was ready, and that she hadn't forgot anything, she stepped outside her jungle home and went over to the river. She crossed it with some difficulty, and ran along the side of the bank northwards. She was going to her secret place, and somehow she hoped she'd get to Narnia sometime at least in five days.
"Aslan, Aslan... How I wish I could come to your world..." she murmured sadly before falling asleep. The next morning she woke up to not light shining peacefully onto the cold, rough stone floor, but to blackness, almost seeming like it was absorbing the hideaway before giving way to shapes of trees. Abby tried to get up and winced. There were many thorns inconveniently placed around her left thigh. She pushed and pulled, and after about 20 minutes she finally got out. She found herself in a open area; with many trees, some looking very ancient and knowing, some looking new, some were but saplings with slender branches reaching out. She saw a gap in some of the trees that looked out to something blue. She smelled something distinctly salty, and after quite a bit of puzzling, she figured it out: it was the ocean. She made her way over to the gap and tripped over something.
"Ow, gosh, that hurt! My knee feels like it was decapitated!" Abby hissed dangerously. She walked out, wincing some as there was a sharp pain in her legs, and then proceeded to the ocean; it was in the early hours in the strange place she was in. She hoped it was Narnia, but for all she knew, she could be in Middle Earth, or Algaesia! While she was thinking, suddenly and sharply a voice said:
"And who might you be?"
Hm. I've never done a cliffe. I know this is such short notice, this coming out, but so suddenly it came to me, I remembered my dream when I was 9 of going to Narnia. Good old times...
Shadia: Can I help?
