Egg,

T: Because it's Easter and I couldn't resist the temptation! I own nothing you see here! Beware the general pointlessness and the slash.

Easter was a time of year in which people indulged their sweet tooth and thus Kurosaki Hisoka was less than surprised, upon entering his office on Good Friday, to find chocolate stains on every single surface.

Mumbling to himself about foolish desert obsessed partners he begins to clean the mess, each ruined case folder or foil wrapper that he discovered intensifying his foul mood and shortening the life span of the one who had created the chaos in the first place.

Once he has organised the office into a semblance of order he settles down onto his chair and begins his work, glancing up every now and again to see if his partner had managed to sneak in without his noticing.

When, after a good two hours, Tsuzuki has still not appeared he reluctantly stops his work and goes in search of the other.

There are traces of the elder Shinigami's feeding frenzy in all of his 'hiding' places and yet, no matter how hard he looks, he can not find hide or hair of the man himself.

Feeling somewhat put out he returns to the office and, upon opening the door, is greeted with the sight of a giant egg balanced, precariously, on his desk.

A gaudy label on one side of the thing informs him that it is intended for him and, curious despite himself, he gently removes the multi faceted foil that coats the object. Once this initial layer has been removed he is presented with the rich colour and smell of a high coco content chocolate.

Though he is not overly partial to sweets the aroma sparks a craving in the back of his head and, feeling somewhat ashamed of himself, he begins to look for the best way to shatter a little of the chocolate from the item.

Eventually it becomes clear that the best method is to shatter the thing completely and, taking a deep breath, he strikes for the eggs centre.

The thing shatters almost the instant his hand lands, the shrapnel of chocolate shards joined by a much larger and softer piece of debris.

"Tsuzuki?"

"Surprise!" The other remarks as he bounces to his feet.

"What do you think you were doing?" He enquires, the tone of his voice reducing the elder man to tears.

"I was giving you a surprise!"

"By hiding in an Easter egg?"

"I thought it would be fun and it's not as though I was going to suffocate."

"Only you could think that's a reasonable excuse." He responds as he bends down in order to begin collecting the shards of chocolate.

Tsuzuki's hands are on his face a moment later and, his face heating, he enquires,

"What do you want now?"

"To say I'm sorry and to give you your other present." The elder Shinigami kisses him then, the thing gentle and bitter sweet for the chocolate on his skin.

He snaps away from the touch a moment later and, feeling more than a little embarrassed he says,

"I'm not angry with you, idiot! Now help me clean this mess up."

He catches the other's smile out of the corner of his eye and, his heart filled with the warmth of the other's care, he returns to the task of picking up the chocolate shards scattered about the floor.
