A/N It is now *glances at clock* 10:27PM and I'm all snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug in my bed and I have a cat curled up at my feet. So I'm going to attempt to write up a story from an idea that just randomly popped into my head when I was on the bus home from school today.

So here goes…

When Haru thinks of Yuki, pure white snow comes to his mind. And when he thinks of snow, Yuki starts running through his head. And he knows that there is more than one reason for this.

First off, there is of course the rat's name; Yuki quite literally means snow. But there's more to it than the meaning of a name.

Yuki's skin, being the soft, pale white colour that it is, reminds Haru of the colour of freshly fallen snow.

When Haru sees brand new snow blanketed over the ground like a carpet, he realises that in some ways it makes him feel the same way he did when he and Yuki had sleepovers together as young boys.

Because when they had those sleepovers Haru was always the first to wake up, and he would gaze at his sleeping cousin for some time. Yuki was like the freshly fallen snow then because he looked so perfect, and so pure that Haru couldn't bear to think of disturbing him, but at the same time he felt a great need to awaken him and play.

In the end he would always wake Yuki up after continuing to observe him for a few more moments; the same way he studied the snow before he jumped into it.

And then there are the memories he has of Yuki in the snow. Perhaps the one that stuck out the most was one winter's day when Haru had been 11, and Yuki had been 12. It wasn't often that that the rat-cursed boy had been allowed to go out and play with the other Sohma children, but as it was winter and Akito had fallen ill, Yuki had been given the chance to play with the other Zodiac children.

Kagura, Ritsu, Rin, Momiji, Haru and Yuki all played together that day. But Haru's favourite part had come when everyone else had gone home except for him and Yuki, who still played together in the snow. He remembered how cute his older cousin had looked, wrapped up in thick layers, gloves, a scarf and a beanie so that he didn't get sick and suffer an asthma attack. Haru had been surprised that Yuki could even walk properly in all of those clothes.

The two boys had jumped and frolicked in the snow, made snowmen and caught snowflakes on their tongues. And then Yuki had stumbled on a rock and fallen onto his back in the snow.

Haru paused to look at the violet eyed boy. He was on his back, surrounded by pure white, his purple hair caressing his cheeks, a joyful smile upon his face, and by chance, he was lying in a small patch of sun. All in all, Haru thought he looked like…

"An angel…" the ox-cursed boy said as he looked down at Yuki.

"Good idea, Haru!" Yuki exclaimed, spreading his arms and legs and dragging them through the snow, "You make a snow angel too!"

Haru loved that memory; it was one of the few he treasured so dearly. He even still had the photo he had taken of the 2 snow angels the boys had made.

That was the day that Yuki became Haru's Snow Angel, but he never even knew…

A/N so how was it? Did it suck? Was it good? Did you like it? I'm asking too many questions aren't I? Ah well.

I think Hamish (the cat who is still curled up at my feet) is giving me the evil eye because I didn't put Kyo in there when some of the Zodiac kids were playing in the snow. Sorry Hamish and all other Kyo-Lovers (myself included, he's in my top 3 Fruits Basket characters list), but I didn't really think he would be playing with the others, being cursed by the cat etc.

Anyways, it would bring me much joy and happiness if you took 5 minutes to review my story, it would make me even happier still if you read my other Yuki/Haru stories and reviewed them! Reviews make me smile! Thanks for reading!
