Frankie stared at the empty sink. "How could this happen", she thought. What would she do now? Clean the fridge, scrub the bathtub, check out what is growing under the sofa? She could do all of those things, but right now she just wanted to ponder the vacant sink.
First Axl last year, and now her baby girl Sue, off to college. She screams, "I am almost an empty nester"! She did not think she screamed this out loud until Mike comes running into the kitchen.
"Frankie, what was that?" he asked, looking puzzled.
She responded by pointing at the empty sink. Mike is even more confused, and asks, "So?".
"SO! Can you believe we are almost done?" she screams. She precedes to tell him how she doesn't know how it happened, why so fast, what would she do now?
Mike grins, he takes her in his arms and whispers, "I can think of a few things…"
Just then Brick makes his way in from school, and seems oblivious. He grabs a bowl and fills it with ice cream. He eats it in two seconds, and places his dirty bowl into the sink.
Mike looks at Frankie, looks at the sink with the dirty bowl, shakes his head, and says to her, "Okay, are we all good now?"
