Title: The Newest EMT
Day 1
Yes this is my first fanfic (Don't be cruel) Amber thought that I should actually use my account with ff.net. Dedicated to Amber, she convinced me to write SOMETHING!
I don't exactly know where to begin telling the story so I guess I'll pick a spot and go for it. I suppose it all started when one of my friends (Angela) had a strange and mysterious happening. I heard about this from her in my school library so I'll do my best to re-tell it. Angela said it all started when she fell asleep while watching In A Heartbeat, it was a deep sleep... the kind where dreams can seem very real. She was the new EMT and had just gotten out of the recruiting program. As excited as she was she started hurting her self (this had always been a problem with her when she was extremely nervous) and noticed everyone starting at her wide eyed and with blank looks on their faces like they had seen a ghost. Val as she later learned is secretly afraid of the sight of blood but does her best to cover it up. The others were just a little freaked out... they didn't want a call happening right in front of them!
In the meantime Jamie was over at Caitie's house play the game of Life. He was of course loosing... Tyler thinks he did it on purpose... ;) they had just finished their first game when Jamie's beeper went off. He had to leave immediately for a call but promised he would be back afterward to play another game. He grabbed his jacket and ran out the door not even bothering to help pick up the pretend money. Caitie didn't mind, she knew that he had business and she would have to get used to picking up after him if they were going to get.... wait thats a different story... anyway the happy house wife errr Caitie kept herself busy with A-teens music and did a little dance as she took a break and dwelled on the scent of Jamie's fading cologne.
The call had come from the high school, a teacher had fallen down the stairs and broken her ankle and couldn't walk. They put her on the stretcher and wheeled her off to the hospital, they didn't need any flashing lights because it wasn't that serious and the teacher had minimal complaints after the morphine injection. They drove back to the station glad they hadn't had a serious case since it was the weekend and they wanted rest. Alex was there and he was very excited to hear how the "newbie" did on her first call. "Pretty good for your first, you were friendly and calm and didn't lose your cool," said Alex. She decided her first day had been exciting enough and returned home.
She got home and started to make her dinner when she heard a funny noise and saw Captain Janeway, Chakotay, and the Doctor from Star Trek Voyager... she said "who are you?" Janeway replied "Oops wrong TV show, sorry" "Mr. Kim, 3 to beam out." the funny noise again and they were gone. "Whoa" she thought. Suddenly she wasn't very hungry anymore... "I better get some sleep she thought".
