Authors's Note - Merry Christmas! I watched the Castle/Beckett kiss the other day and I'm still not over it! *fangirls at memory* Anyway, this is a Christmas one shot about Sara and Nick. Reviews are always welcome. Enjoy!
It was Christmas eve and Sara Sidle was in the lab break room. She always worked on Christmas. It was a way of escaping her empty apartment. She also took it as an extra chance to see Nick. As if on cue Nick Stokes walked into the break room. "Merry Christmas." said Nick as she stood up and hugged him.
"Merry Christmas." she said.
"Well it's hard to have a 'merry' Christmas while I'm here but at least I have you to keep me company." he laughed, a flirtatious grin on his face.
Sara rolled her eyes. "I suppose Christmas with you wouldn't be too bad."
"You love me really." he winked, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Hmm." She smirked back.
"New case!" said Russell.
"What is it?" asked Sara.
"Santa's dead. A group of ladies found him on the strip."
"I guess he won't be delivering presents this year." joked Nick.
"Oh, by the way you might want to talk to his elves..." Russell laughed before walking back to his office. Sara and Nick glanced at each other before Sara headed to the car, throwing Nick the keys on her way out. Nick shook his head and laughed before following her.
Once they were inside the car Nick turned to Sara. "What you doing tomorrow?" he asked.
"Nothing, why?"
"Thought we could spend Christmas with each other. I mean, we'd only be alone anyway."
"Sure. I was planning on giving you your present at the end of the shift but yeah, spending Christmas with you sounds nice."
"Wow. Spending Christmas with me has gone from not too bad to nice. I must be doing something right." he laughed.
She hit him playfully on the arm. "Carry on like that and maybe we'll find some mistletoe..." she raised her eyebrow flirtatiously.
"Maybe there's some here..." Her pulled out a branch of mistletoe from the back.
"Do you always keep mistletoe in here?"
"Only when I'm with you." He held the mistletoe above their heads and kissed her. At first it was slow but as seconds passed the kiss grew deeper. The mistletoe dropped from Nick's hand and fell somewhere near his feet. After another minute they broke apart. They rested their foreheads together and laughed. "Still wanna come over tomorrow?" he joked.
Sara kissed him again. "Sure, but your cooking."
"Oh, I'll do more than cook."
Author's note - sorry for the shortness! Anyway, house everyone had a very merry Christmas!
