Toasted Hands
Despite the shrieking wind that bit harshly at her pink cheeks, Piper felt considerably warm comfortably tucked underneath a certain Commanding Officer of hers. They had been walking for over half an hour, yet few words had been said between them. With the snow delicately kissing their heavily covered bodies, never before had they experienced something so beautiful together. White powder shimmered over tall trees and spiky grass; everything was brightened by the deep pink sky.
"Wait for us!"
The couple turned to find a delighted Finn, Radaar and Junko having a snowball fight, watching as they slipped and fell into the feathery snow. Stork trailed up to them, his teeth chattering, covered from head to toe in thick clothing.
"It's…always… safer on the…C-Condor. I-if I c-catch Pa-athala, y-you're g-going d-down w-with me." He glared at them through his goggles, dodging the ribbon of muddy snow that hurtled towards him. Piper giggled and felt Aerrow's hand gently squeeze her shoulder. She looked up at him, smiling.
"What?"
"Nothing," He replied, weaving his long arms around her tiny waist. "You have snow on your eyelashes."
"So do you," She reached up to remove some and show him, but he only chuckled and took her hand, removing the blue glove to reveal a very small, tender hand: stone cold.
"I told you you should buy new gloves," Aerrow raised it to his lips, gently pressing them against her golden skin. "You never listen to me."
She only giggled again at his mock-hurt expression, allowing him to carry on as she witnessed her hand considerably warm up.
"My apologies, Captain," Their hard foreheads slowly bumped together and she lifted her chin…
"Excuse me."
They broke apart, bewildered as they spotted Stork, who looked unamused.
"No." He told them simply, before proceeding to carry on walking.
Aerrow felt Piper's lips gently press against his repeatedly.
"Ignore him," She murmured, moving her hands so they crawled onto his broad shoulders. "Hurry up and kiss me, I'm bloody freezing."
She heard another chuckle before he obliged her.
