Luna Lovegood was aimlessly wandering the halls of Hogwarts. It was the night before the Yule Ball and she still had no date. Not that she care though. She wasn't really anyone's love interest… or so she thought.

Ron, who also still had no date for the Yule Ball was shuffling through the halls making his way towards the Great Hall for dinner.

At the moment he turned the corner, he bumped straight into Luna.

"Er, sorry," Luna said automatically considering it was usually her fault when she ran into someone in the hallway because of her daydreaming.

"No, no! It was my fault," Ron insisted.

"Well, see you then," Luna replied as she began walking past Ron.

"Er, wait!" Ron said. He had been thinking about this all day and this was finally his chance.

Luna turned around and looked at Ron. "What?" she asked quizzically.

"I hope you never lose your sense of wonder. You get your fill to eat, but always keep that hunger," Ron told her. He had rehearsed this over and over in his dorm room, but he was still quite nervous.

"What are you going on about?" Luna inquired.

"Will you go to the ball with me?" Ron squeaked.

Luna didn't have to think at all. She wasn't expecting this, and it came as a big surprise, but she had always thought Ron cute. So she thought she would give it a chance. "Of course!" she answered.

"And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance," Ron added.

Luna giggled, "Of course I will dance, silly! The Crumple-Horned Snorkacks taught me!"
