AN: Can you ever see the KH lot having normal lives ever again? I can't. Not my characters - I just borrow them.

Of all the things I wasn't supposed to do (and there were a lot, believe me), this one was at the top of the list. It just didn't fit with the fairy tale that our lives had turned into. As the princess, I was supposed to fall in love with the hero, get married and live happily ever after. Instead, I ran off with someone we'd originally thought was an enemy, but helped us just before his apparent death.

Then again, none of us managed the typical fairy tale ending, and we wouldn't have wanted it. Looking at us, an outsider would think we were a bunch of misfits, weirdos; and we are. Who else do you know that can spend an entire day on the beach, fighting with keyblades, chakrams and all the other assorted weapons we've managed to acquire? Or talk about different worlds with strange inhabitants, or think it was perfectly normal when a dog, a duck and a mouse dropped in for a chat. Not to mention our long, involved discussions about beings called Heartless.

No-one ever said we were normal, and if they did, I must have missed it. The word simply does not apply. Take Axel and me, for example. A pyromaniac and an ex-princess. Sora and Roxas are basically identical, except for their hair colour, and they're two halves of one soul. Riku seems to have taken up with Naminé, my Nobody, but we don't use that word any more.

Fairy tale endings are overrated, in my opinion. I'd much rather have reality.
