"One thing that had always troubled John was the way Sherlock was fixated by John's work- how he looked at him sideways when Sherlock thought John couldn't see. This was all before anything had happened, of course, so when John was presented with the kiss, he could not say he didn't expect it. Or want it. Within all the worrying of the patients and the war itself, John found solace in the curly haired man with the mind of a genius. Everything in his thoughts screamed no at the idea, but the night Sherlock and he had shared was something John wanted in his life. Sherlock Holmes and John Watson; the doctor and the genius against the world. He could live forever with just that."
Sherlock Holmes has been assigned another case, but this time, it won't be in the comforts of 221b Baker Street. Instead, he will be facing the threat of a deadly new weapon. Bombs from the opposing side of the war have been sent down from the sky, causing more casualties than usual and leaving few survivors. The disfigured and deranged survivors are left with disturbing thoughts and crazy notions about the bomb. Being that he is the only consulting detective in the world, General Greg Lestrade informs Sherlock of this case. Eagerly, Sherlock accepts.
This is where he meets the army doctor, John Watson. John is a quiet and simple man, who has dealt with weapons and wounds his whole career. Drawn together by the case, Sherlock and John must see past each others differences and help each other in the process of solvingt his mystery. The closer they get to the answers, the closer friends they become, until one night changes everything they feel about each other.
