A splash.
A giggle.
A twirl.
Minutes ago, the skies shook with the mighty power of Thor and the populace of Domino City was given a majestic lightning show (though she was sure she'd be one of the few to vouch for it). Rain poured down in torrents and many who were outside quickly sought shelter from Mother Nature's forces. She had watched the storm from her sunroom; the panoramic view giving her a front seat view. When the storm finally calmed, she had pulled on a pair of waterproof shoes and threw a hooded jacket over her shoulders, anxious to go outside.
Now that she had made her way to the park, the skies were no longer violent and instead of bruising the earth, the rain fell in light sprinkles, gently kissing her skin.
And somewhere along the way, she had come across a certain white-haired European sporting an elegant umbrella who watched in fascination as she danced along the otherwise-abandoned path. Usually, when one is caught in a flight of unabashed passion and fancy, it is usually a face-flushing experience.
Téa did not possess such an ability. Of a serious nature and mature character- her role of a supporting friend, she was hardly caught indulging in a childhood act of pleasure.
So when Ryou came across this path, he was glad he was the only one to witness her unbridled act of joy- her dance of the puddles.
So nimble in her dance, he did not possess the agility to jump out of the way when she leapt onto a particularly close puddle.
"I gotcha!" She grinned, her face flushed and thoroughly soaked.
Ryou was not one to be beaten. He chucked his umbrella to the side and quickly swiped his foot across another puddle in her direction.
She was not surprised or shocked, simply overjoyed to have found a partner.
Her happy countenance contagious, he walked over to cast away umbrella and picked it up but paused when he caught a flash of yellow in the corner of his eye. Bending down, he looked at the specimen which now possessed his full-attention and motioned to the confused brunette. "Look over here!"
"What is it?" She breathlessly asked, bending down next to him.
"It's a buttercup…in England, it was the sure sign of summer." He gently plucked it from the ground and got up, the treasure held between his thumb and index finger.
Hands innocently clasped behind her back, she smiled gently at him, a sort of understanding apparent in her eyes, "You must miss it."
He shrugged and smiled, one hand reaching up to tuck the flower behind one of her elfin-like ears.
Téa caught his knowing smile and a fleeting glance of an unknown emotion behind his now-veiled brown eyes.
"Not really," He answered.
This time, she did blush.
