Take My Hand

This is a poem from Inuyasha to Kagome. It is based upon a poem that I wrote for a friend for her Bat Mitzvah. Please enjoy! And please review! If just to tell me that you read it!

A year a companionship

Turned to two

And before I knew it

I couldn't live without you.

I couldn't understand

The things that went on around me

Without you there to make them clear

And to help with all of the affliction

You taught me friendship

You taught me understanding

You taught me compassion

You taught me accepting

But most of all you taught me how to love

With all my heart

With all my soul

With all my will

With all my spirit

You were the leading banner

A white flag among the black

Of all the chaos and commotion

That threatened to swallow me forever

And when I followed the light you shone

I quickly saw that there were others

Lights that just like me

Were trying to find you.

You taught me friendship

You taught me understanding

You taught me compassion

You taught me accepting

But most of all you taught me how to love

With all my heart

With all my soul

With all my will

With all my spirit

When looking back I understand

Something I've never thought before

I realized just how much I relied upon your light

That shone upon us all from above among the heavens

I wonder how you didn't suffocate,

With all of us that just were standing by

And then I remember

That we were always there for you in turn

We were always there

When you needed to get away

When you needed to talk

When you needed to laugh

When you needed to cry

When you needed to be saved

We were always there.

I know that many people in your life will claim this

And for many of them it will be true

But I hope that you will always remember

That though I may not show it

I will always love you

And be assured,

Never doubt

That you shall always be there

In my heart and in my mind

You are forever imprinted upon my soul

An immortal, never-ending never-fading mark

Of love
