Justin was his perfect little soldier. And it was this flawing loyalty that killed Wade tonight.
Justin too knew that he couldn't go with Wade, but there was absolutely nothing that he wanted more in these last few moments than to be with his leader, side by side, back to back, fighting with him in the ring. Just as he was meant to do. But as the duo stood backstage moments before bell time, they knew that Wade's match meant ten or so minutes of separation. It was hard for the South African, who had only recently let go of trying to hide his adoration for his leader these past several months. The two were now inseparable, which often caught the jealous eye of his fellow teammates. Justin's dependency to Wade had been like a canine; because no matter how much the abuse, he had always taken it and come back for more. And that is what, perhaps behind the loyalty, that Wade loved most about his personal angel. His angel of destruction, ready to kill whenever he gave the order.
The raven haired Brit looked down at his creation, this man that hadn't always been so hard, but had been molded into something perfect. He smirked as Gabriel's eyes lifted from the floor to join his. Justin's fingers fidgeted with the rings on one hand as he looked into those solid blue orbs. God, when had it gone this far? That it was so hard to leave, even for a moment. No on had ever forced this softer side of Wade out, it scared even himself. He often doubted his actions with the younger man. Doubt? Certainly not a thing that the distinguished Wade Barrett was used to.
Wade's hands reached out the short distance to Justin's arms and rested there just above his elbows. He held the tanned mans attention.
"Stay" was all he commanded, but then added "I'll be right back, and you'll be right here where I left you."
Justin didn't nod. He didn't need to. It was already a known fact that Justin would be right there waiting for Wade to come back. Wade's every command was always carried out without flaw. Though this command would have been obeyed even if it hadn't been an order at all.
Wade's large powerful hands stroked slowly up Justin's arms then back down. Gabriel stepped closer if nothing else than just to have their bodies closer. He watched Wade now reach for the rose that peaked out of the breast pocket of the black coat that hung over the mans broad shoulders. He held the rose for a moment before handing it over to the high flier. Justin's movements hesitated before taking the crimson flower. All in one motion, he leaned up to meet Wade's lips with his own. Wade's hands rested on Justin's hips as he allowed him the access to his mouth. He kissed back unsure, kissed back with force, their lips electric against each others. Justin broke the lock they'd formed and his heels settled back to the linoleum.
"We walk alone, in the unknown-" Nexus theme kicks into play and even backstage, the boos from the crowd can be heard. Wade gives Justin a last look, before putting his battle face on. He inhales deep and turns towards the entrance where the masses were waiting. Watching him go, Justin's breath leaves his lungs, evacuating his body. Anxiety. Silence.
