This was on my mind for a while. I was thinking about headbands. It's short but I had to write it.
I do not own Naruto.
Something was bugging in Uzumaki Naruto's young mind. Ever since he helped Kiba and his older sister, Hana, cured Akamaru a few nights ago, Naruto couldn't help but to notice about her. There was something missing on Hana, and after thinking about it, he came to the conclusion that it was the headband.
Naruto never saw it on her forehead, or anywhere on her body, so he had decided to confront Hana about it. He needed to know, so he made his way towards the training grounds from what her brother had told him.
Entering the training grounds, he saw Hana and her dogs training. She was dodging as her dogs each took turns attacking their master. Seeing him, Hana whistled, signaling for them to stop.
Naruto walked up to Hana and stopped when he was standing a few feet from her.
"Miss Hana, can I ask you a question?"
"Yes, Naruto."
"Where is your headband?"
Hana raised an eyebrow at her brother's friend.
"Why would you want to know?"
"Iruka-sensei told me on how a ninja wears it, and I have seen everyone with theirs but not you. I was wondering if you can tell me where is your headband."
Hana thought about his explanation and gave him an answer.
"It's underneath my vest."
Naruto looked at it.
"Where? I don't see it."
"It's okay, Naruto. It's best if I show you."
Reaching for the zipper, Hana pulled it down and removed it. Holding her vest in her hand, Hana showed him where she wears it.
Naruto saw that it was wrapped around her chest. Hana turned around once to give him a view. It was tied to the front with the Leaf insignia resting on her back. She then gave her explanation.
"I use it as a makeshift bra. I prefer the headband than the bandages. The bandages makes me look flat-chested. In fact, my mother wears it around her chest as well. She even told me how to wear it properly."
"No way."
Hana gave a small laugh at his comment.
"Yes, Naruto. She said that it helps to keep the puppies in place."
Naruto thought about on what she had said. It explained as to why he saw some guys staring at her chest like that when they were heading back to the tower after curing Akamaru.
"The metal digs into my back, but I have become used to it. Does that help?"
Naruto shook his head as he understood her explanation. He never knew that girls would wear it like that. Hana put on her vest again and zipped it.
"That's good to know. Thank you, Hana."
"You're welcome, Naruto."
Naruto walked away with the information he had learned from Hana, but he also walked away with a grin on his face and a slight nosebleed for he had seen her "puppies."
He is such a lucky boy.
