Just another little 2DxNoodle brotherly/sisterly drabble. Second one! Please R&R!

Thunder shook our creaky flat, pulling me out of my sleep. I flip my lamp on and stretch my arms and legs. I feel around the floor for my hoodie, slip it on, and walk to my window. I pry it open, and I'm greeted by the wind slapping me and the harsh raindrops pelting my face.

"Russel!" I yell. I forece my head out the window and tilt my head up to the sky. Water stings my eyes as I look for the big black man who sits up on the roof. Where is he? I hope he's okay.

Then his head appears. Russel has shrunk quite a bit since our escape from the Plastic Beach, but he's still far too large to fit inside the small, dumpy flat.

"I'm all right, baby doll. Just a little rain." Just a little rain, he says.

"Just a lot of rain!" I yell, shielidng my eyes. Russel pokes my stomach gently, sending me back into my room.

"Don't need ya catchin' a cold, suga. I'll be fine. If it gets too bad, I can find somewhere to hang around fo' a bit." He gives me a huge smile and disappears. I scowl slightly, but close my window.

Well. I'm not going to sleep anytime soon. So, I head out my bedroom door and downstairs.

I'm not surprised to find 2D down there staring blankly out the window, but I still have to wonder why Murdoc has been awoken from all this crazy noise.

Probably because he's drunk as a skunk.

"What cha looking at, Toochi?" I ask, wrapping my arms around his waist. He jumps slightly and I release my arms. He blinks a few times, and then smiles.

"Nothin' in particular, lil' luv." He scowls slightly. "This does nothin' for me blazin' headache, though." I pat him on the cheek.

"Let's get cocoa. Cocoa's good." 2D's smile returns to his face and he let's me pull him into the kitchen. I wander around, pulling milk out of the fridge and hunting for cocoa powder in one of the cupboards. "Have you been awake all night?" He shrugs his lanky shoulders. I stick two mugs of milk in the microwave and walk over to him, sitting down on his lap and wrapping my arms around his neck. He wraps his arms around my waist.

"Dun' know 'ow long I slept for, ta be honest." He suddenly laughs. I blink.

"What? Do I have something on my face?" I pat my cheeks. He just continues to chuckle and shakes his head.

"No. Jus' remembering 'ow scared of thunder storms yew used to be." I wrinkle my nose.

"I wasn't that scared, was I?"

"Yew was terrified! Yew'd always come cryin' to me door." His smile softened. "Yew'd curl all up with me an' fall right asleep. Big ol' smiles on yew're face." He rests his head against mine.

I can hardly recall those days. Was I really that young at one point? I feel like I've been twenty-one my whole life. When did my fear of thunder storms fade away? When did I even have a fear of thunder storms? So much had happened in between the El Manana incident and now. I can barely even remember anything prior to being shot out of the sky…

A single tear falls down my cheek.

2D jumps slightly. "Noods? Did I say somethin'?" He runs one of his thumbs over the tear. I smile as a few more tears escape my eyes.

"I'm just so happy that I'm here with all of you again," I tell him quietly. "I'm happy that we can just talk about the good times we had. I don't remember much about being a child. It seems like it was so long ago. But it makes me happy trying to remember them." 2D's smile returns to his face. He tilts his head up and gives me a kiss on the tip of my nose.

"I missed yew, Noods." He hugs me tightly to him. I rest my chin on his head. We sit quietly, the storm raging on. Russel outside on the roof. Murdoc drunk in his room.

We just sit and think. It's not an awkward silence. It's peaceful. And I love it.

The heated milk has been long forgotten.
