THE SICKNESS
Heavyfoot was now a teenaged longneck his herd had joined up with Amber his best friend's herd. One day Sabina his great-great grandmother grew seriously ill. Heavyfoot: Grandma Sabina! What's wrong? His Great-great grandfather Titan answered. Titan: She is very ill. It's an illness that has basically no cure. Long ago an illness like this ravaged the herd but we recovered. Not without loses though. I'm afraid her time is numbered. Sabina: You must all move on before the illness gets to you as well! It's too late for me. Go! When the sickness had passed all that remained of the once large herd was his mother, father, Grandmothers and grandfathers and 2 aunts and 3 uncles and his 3 siblings. Amber's herd had survived.
